World Wrestling Entertainment has hired former Impact Wrestling announcer McKenzie Mitchell. Mitchell announced her signing with the company this afternoon on social media:

There is no word yet what her role within WWE may be.
A broadcast journalism graduate from The University of Mississippi, Mitchell was first brought into Impact by then-owner Dixie Carter in May 2016, working as a backstage interviewer as well as taking part in Knockouts photo shoots. She departed Impact in January and had been working for FOX Sports West since that time out of Los Angeles.
One area where WWE may want to utilize Mitchell is actual commentary. While Impact never gave her the opportunity to call matches, she was an absolute natural at it when calling some independent wrestling events earlier this year.
