WHY CM PUNK WOULD CHOOSE WWE OVER AEW, IS TONY KHAN A FAN OR A PROMOTER (OR BOTH), IMPACT AT A KROSSROADS AND MORE

I just read your latest update on Killer Kross and impact.  The first thing that came to mind is The ivelese/Joey Ryan/Kobra Moon lawsuit against Lucha Underground based on the fact that since he is pay per appearance and not being used.  It seems like they are preventing him from making a living.  What's your take on that?

I think that even if they are in the right contractually (and I am not saying that they are), they can come out looking really bad if Kross decides to take them to court.  He can say that they are not booking him, but not letting him work anywhere else.  He can assert that he refused to slice his head open with a razor blade and they are holding that against him.  No matter how it plays out in court, it’s not a good look.

What happened to the brand split? Are they still using the wild card rule without actually stating it? Some talents appear on both shows, but others stick to "their" show. Any chance we get true separate rosters once Smackdown moves to Fox?

It looks like they will at least try and go that way with a draft coming up next month.  I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.  If I am USA or FOX, and paying the money that they are paying for the products, I would want the best talent WWE has to offer.  I can’t wait to see how it all shakes out.

I saw recently saw the AEW backstage special that they were talking about spending money and casually mentioned Tony has got it covered. So do you think that Tony Khan is doing this as he wants to be a cool kid part of the crew accepted etc. Secondly, do you think the real money man (his Dad) will continue to indulge AEW if there isn’t a certain amount of success straight up. He’s a billionaire and billionaires aren’t stupid.

Second question first, I totally agree with you.  If this thing becomes a money pit, Shad Khan will pull the plug.  He isn’t going to lose money indefinitely.  Like you said, billionaires are about making money, not losing it.  As for Tony, well I don’t know him.  I have never met him so I can’t say if he’s a fan boy playing promoter because he’s rich or if he is a fan that has a legitimate plan and vision to make AEW a success.  That will be one of the most fascinating stories of 2019 to follow for me.  I hope, for the sake of the business, that he is the latter but I have to say this, I am still waiting for a real vision to come out.  And as someone from the outside looking in, it does concern me that he thinks all of his EVPs are his best friends.  It’s great to get along, but he needs to be the boss and the one with the vision.

Why would CM Punk be willing to listen to HHH or Vince if they reached out to him after his troubled past with them?  I would think he'd have a lot more success at this point with a company like AEW if he was to get back into the wrestling business.

He would?  Why?  AEW is a start up that hasn’t even run a  TV show yet!  WWE is an established company with over a half billion dollars a year in TV revenue alone.  The only way I would choose AEW over WWE if I were him is if they offered significantly more money than Punk could get from WWE..

Is there a way to watch WOW if you don’t get AXS TV?  I like that MLW offers alternative ways to watch the product and I was hoping WOW did, too, but I can’t find anything.

The difference is MLW is not a show that is put on by a network, WOW is.  I don’t know of any other way you can watch it legally than AXS.
