MARTY SCURLL-ROH UPDATE

By Mike Johnson on 2019-09-03 12:28:00

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated is reporting that Marty Scurll's current Ring of Honor deal is set to expire this November.  PWInsider.com has independently confirmed that timeline.

Scurll, who debuted for ROH in 2016, became the leader of Villain Club at the onset of 2019 after his fellow members of The Elite departed the company.  There's been a lot of speculation as to whether Scurll could potentially join them in All Elite Wrestling when his ROH deal was up, but ROH, New Japan Pro Wrestling and obviously WWE also remain possibilities.  Given the nature of the business right now, being a top talent on the open market is a huge plus.

As PWInsider.com reported last week, current ROH Champion Matt Taven's existing ROH deal is slated to expire at the end of the month.  He and ROH have been in discussions.
