IMPACT HEADS TO VEGAS THIS WEEK, RVD, AAA, KILLER KROSS AND MORE IMPACT WRESTLING NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2019-09-03 10:34:00

Impact Wrestling will be taping TV at Sam’s Town Live on Thursday 9/5 and Saturday 9/6 this week.  For fans attending, the company announced the following meet and greet information:

LAX, Santana and Ortiz will make their final Impact appearance on this Friday's TV episode, where they challenge Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions The North in a title vs. career match.  Also scheduled for Friday's TV episode is Rob Van Dam vs. Sawyer Fulton, Fallah Bahh vs. Moose and more.

RVD is making a lot of promotional appearances to push this week's TV tapings locally in Las Vegas, where he now lives.  Yesterday, Van Dam tossed out the first pitch at the Las Vegas Aviators game:

Taya Valkyrie vs. Tessa Blanchard has been officially announced for the 9/15 AAA Lucha Invades New York PPV at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden.

There's been zero update on the Killer Kross situation.  One story making the rounds over the weekend is that the company was upset with him over Slammiversary weekend before his First Blood match with Eddie Edwards as Kross refused to blade, leading to the company having to go out and get fake blood at the last minute.  That was, to date, the last time Kross was booked for Impact.  If any wrestling company gets upset over someone refusing to get color in 2019, that wrestling company doesn't deserve to exist.  The Slammiversary PPV took place a week after there was concern about a potential hepatitus outbreak at an independent event in Indiana.  It should be interesting to see if Kross is used at the TV tapings this weekend as he lives in Vegas.
