World Wrestling Entertainment has hired Dara Frank to become the Senior Director of their new podcast network, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
Frank had been with Viacom since 2007, most recently holding the position of Senior Director, Podcasting, Radio & Records, where she oversaw those divisions and was responsible for all strategy, production, marketing and sales in that areas. She also oversaw Comedy Central Records. She's a big hire for WWE's new division as she brought Viacom millions of dollars in her role and was responsible for developing and signing talents for podcasts, building relationships with advertisers and marketing partners and was the point person for all things in that realm for Viacom.
The WWE podcast network was officially announced last week and will be launched in partnership with Endeavor audio. WWE has not disclosed when the network will launch, but the expectation is that it will be integrated into the WWE Network as well as all major podcast streaming platforms.
