I was wondering how much involvement WWE has these days in the XFL as they gets closer to launching next year?

WWE was involved in helping to set up the current XFL infrastructure but now that the puzzle has been put together, XFL has their own team and is pretty much independent of WWE. They can lean on WWE if they need help but they are their own entity, as opposed to the original incarnation where WWE ran the XFL and the wrestling aspect of the company under one roof.  This time, WWE put the balloon in the air last year and it's been floating on its own for most of this year since.  While WWE has been involved in certain aspects, like their creative department helping to develop the team names and logos, XFL is more and more its own entity under Alpha Sports these days and will continue to be more and more of its own entity as we get closer to the first Kickoff.

Is the Becky/Seth engagement a work?

Nope.  Our congratulations to them both.

Going back to Summerslam, there was one thing that really seemed to bother me.  Why is it that the referee counted Orton and Kofi out but they didn't count out Rollins and Brock? I feel like there should be more leeway in a championship match when both competitors are on the outside.  On a separate note: wouldn't putting someone though a announce table be a DQ in a regular match? The table would be considered using a weapon.

One can make excuses or try to explain the logic, but I won't.  Here's what happened - WWE management didn't care to be consistent with how they presented the stories on the matches.  It is, unfortunately, what it is.  Perhaps we'll see that sort of things be strengthened under Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff.   The table should be a DQ but again, it is what it is.

Eric Bischoff moved to Stamford.  Did Paul Heyman do the same?

Not to the best of my knowledge.  Heyman has always lived in Scarsdale, NY (and I have never heard he has moved).  Driving, that is only 30 minutes, plus or minus traffic.  Heyman could easily commute.

I am watching Mick Foley vs. Triple H at Royal Rumble 2000.  Barbed wire - real or fake?  What did you think of that match?

They started with real barbed wire and switched it to a fake barbed wire over the course of the match when the bat was taken away as they switched it when it was "off-camera."  It didn't matter.  The "fake" wire still busted up HHH, as recounted in one of Mick Foley's autobiographies.  I honestly think that's the match that legitimatized Triple H to the masses and it's one of Mick Foley's best performances ever.
