DIAMANTE, KRIS STATLANDER, LEYLA HIRSH, PRISCILLA KELLY, MANCE WERNER, SAVANNAH EVANS, SOFLO UNSANCTIONED & MORE: COMPLETE QUEENS OF COMBAT IN CHARLOTTE, NC COVERAGE

By Mike Johnson on 2019-08-15 22:03:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of Queens of Combat in Charlotte, NC at the Charlotte University Hilton!

The legendary George South is in attendance.

Mance Werner was introduced as the host of the evening.   He said he was going to get involved or do some spots or wrestle someone but tonight, Queens of Combat are going to lay it all on the line in the ring.

Madi Maxx came to the ring and took the mic from Werner.  The crowd tried to boo her promo out of the building. She said she has a question for Werner and everyone else in the building.  She asked Werner how it felt to step into a Hilton since all he can afford is a Red Roof Inn. She told him to leave the ring. She said that every month, she shows up and her face is on the poster, but when she does, the fans boo her.  Then, whoever shows up, they get a big reaction. The crowd was all over her ruthlessly. Her mic work was great and she showed a great aptitude to respond to heckling fans and stay on point.

Aja Perrera came to the ring and faced off with Maxx, who told her she doesn’t matter and isn’t important to this roster.  She tried to nail Aja, who blocked it and chopped her hard.

Madi Maxx vs. Aja Perrera

Aja worked her over in the corner and nailed a series of knee strikes.   Maxx feigned an injury but used that to nail Maxx, who she nailed in the face.  Aja tried to fight back but was overwhelmed and choked against the ropes.

Maxx was great at trashing the crowd verbally while beating down Aja, smashing her face into the turnbuckles.  She snapmared Aja and locked on a side chinlock. The crowd rallied Aja to fight back and she returned to her feet, avoiding a charge and going for a rollup.  Maxx held onto the ropes and caught her in a crossface, trying to force a submission.

Aja tripped Maxx and nailed a cutter for a two count.  They battled to the outside, where Aja avoided a Maxx charge and struck her with a backhanded slap.  They battled back into the ring, where Maxx threw glitter in her face and scored the pin.

Your winner, Madi Maxx!

Dani Jordan vs. Gabby Gilbert vs. Trish Adora

Jordan was the lone villain in the equation and despite the numbers game, was in control.  Adora showed some nice athletic skills and striking early on. Gilbert was playing a school girl with all sort of bright colors and rainbow hair.  Jordan nailed a pair of nice superkicks. They all began slapping each other. Gilbert was nailed with a back suplex but Adora scored with a big boot and pinned Jordan.

Your winner, Trish Adora!

Lots of action.  Not a lot of time but the crowd enjoyed it.  Adora has a LOT of potential.

Scarlett Bordeaux vs. Faye Jackson

They started out with Jackson saying Bordeaux has a, well, nice derriere, but she wasn’t ready for this and began dancing sexy at her.  They had a bit of a dance-off until Bordeaux speared Jackson as she was dancing while half inside the ropes. Jackson was knocked to the floor, where Scarlett worked her over.  Jackson fought back anher.d they battled around ringside.

Bordeaux tried to escape into the ring but was caught and pulled back out. Jackson tossed her atop the fans in the front row and grinded atop of her.   Back in the ring, Bordeaux attempted to back suplex Jackson but was thwarted and shoved down to the mat. Jackson nailed a sit-down splash for a two count.

Jackson missed a charge into the buckles and was shoved into them, face-first.  Bordeaux tried to do a Stinkface but Jackson bit her on the butt...a lot. She ravaged Scarlett, who came back with a back senton splash for a two count.

Bordeaux came back with a snapping neckbreaker for a two count.  She nailed a big powerbomb out of the corner but Jackson kicked out.  Jackson finally nailed her and scored the pin.

Your winner, Faye Jackson!

This wasn’t a PG match, that was for sure.  Jackson’s character was awesome, just a loud and proud woman who flaunted what she had and kicked butt.  Bordeaux was the perfect foil for her.  They had an entertaining bout.

Zane Riley announced he had a new member of the Riley family, announcing Thunderkitty.   She does a great throwback deal, dressing like someone who wrestled in the pioneering era of pro wrestling.  Allie Kat came out.  Riley knocked her  Kat is basically sort of a Sandman-esque character, drinking and playing off the fans and having a good time.  Mance Werner came out and said he was running the show and Riley is out here talking bullsh**.  Riley said he can't do anything to him.  The Commissioner came out and made a mixed tag team bout for right now...

Werner and Kat spewed beer on Riley and Kitty, who went to the floor.  Werner and Kat traded shirts and wore each other’s top before they went to the floor and began brawling.  They used weapons. Kitty then returned to the ring and knocked Werner to the floor, before tossing him deeper into the crowd.

Allie Kat attacked her when she returned to the ring but Riley took her out.  Thunder Kitty lit a cigarette and smoked it, then acted like she was going to put it out on Kat’s face.  Werner made the save but Kitty put it out on his forehead. EEEEW.

Riley went under the ring and brought a wooden pallet into the ring as Kitty choked Kat in the corner.  Kitty tried to whip Kat into it but she caught herself and kicked Kitty away. Kitty locked the Iron Claw on Kat, who fought her off and used a headbutt.  Riley and Mercer returned to the ring and nailed headutts on each other. Werner did the Dusty elbows.

Kat and Werner nailed double knees on Riley and covered him but Kitty made the save.  Riley tried to hit a cannonball into the pallet on Kat but she moved. That left Kitty alone with Werner and Kat, who worked her over.  Riley nailed a headbutt on Werner, setting Kitty up to roll up Kat for the pin.

Your winners, Thunderkitty and Zane Riley!

Savannah Evans vs. Zoey Skye vs. Kris Statlander vs. Tasha Steelz

Evans had a good angry persona.    She speared Statlander as she had Skye on her shoulders for a move.  She and Kris battled but Steelz rolled up Evans for a two count. Steelz looked really good on offense.  Skye nailed some nice offense including some good kicks on Steelz for a two count.  Skye hit a nice leaping clothesline as everyone else recovered.  They all battled in the ring. Skye was spotlighted, hitting a double rana on Kris and Evans.  It came down to Evans and Steelz splashed her in the corner.  Everyone battled until Steelz scored the pin.

Your winner, Tasha Steelz!

Some good athletic action and spots but not enough time for this to really get into second gear.  Everyone worked real hard.

QOC Tag Team Champions SoFlo Unsanctioned, Dynamite Didi and Rockey Radley vs. Leyla Hirsh & Ashley Vox

The Tag Team Champions controlled Vox for a long time.  Hirsh tried to get in the ring and intercede but was prevented by the referee, allowing Vox to suffer additional indignities.  Vox finally nailed a double DDT but Hirsh was knocked off the apron before she could make the tag. They continued trashing Vox.

Hirsh finally made the tag and nailed a ton of kicks and strikes before belting out some good suplexes.  She nailed a springboard moonsault that was beautiful for a two count. She got caught on the ropes and nailed with a back suplex into the ring.

They double teamed Hirsch and scored the pin.

Your winners and still the Tag Team Champions, SoFlo Unsanctioned!

I enjoyed this a lot.  SoFlo had a good charisma to them and reminded me of Flaca and Maritza from Orange is the New Black in how they interacted.  Hirsh is so damn good.  Vox looked good.  They had some nice chemistry in the ring.

QOC Champion Diamante vs. Priscilla Kelly.

Kelly has a hell of a presence in the ring.  She and Diamante had some good back and forth wrestling.  Kelly went to the floor where Diamante hit her with one of the best topes I’ve seen in forever as they went crashing into the crowd.  Diamante had fans hold Kelly’s arm on each side of the ring so she could chop Kelly.

Kelly came back with a stiff knee off the apron.   Kelly tied up Diamante in the ropes and worked over her back.  She nailed a leaping kick to the small of her back for a two count.   Kelly continued working over Diamante, who came back with several strikes but was shut down.  Kelly tied her up on the mat and tried to force Diamante to tap. She got to the ropes, forcing the break.  Kelly and the referee argued.

Kelly nailed several kicks and several big suplexes.  Diamante fought back and nailed one of her own, then hit a hesitation dropkick in the corner.    Diamante was caught with a kick to the head and a STO for a two count. Kelly nailed several knee strikes and a rollup for a two count.

They kept going until Diamante nailed Code Red for the pin.

Your winner and still QOC Champion, Diamante!

Good bout.

Tasha Steelz confronted Diamante and they announced an October bout between the two.
