The first Charlotte, North Carolina-based legends wrestling convention in several years will take place this Thursday 8/14 through Sunday 8/18 at the Charlotte Hilton University Hotel, promoted by TMart Promotions.
“The Gathering”, taking its name from an old Starrcade event, will feature Greg Gagne, Lex Luger, Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane, Kendo Nagasaki, Ken Resnick, Dennis Condrey, Randy Rose, Marc Lowrance, Carlos Colon, Missy Hyatt, John Tatum, Ricky Steamboat, The Cuban Assassin Fidel Sierra, Ricky Santana, Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissey, Shane Douglas, Larry Zbyszko, Lanny Poffo Barry Windham, Al Perez, Dark Journey, Nikita Koloff and Jimmy Golden (aka Bunkhouse Buck) as headline guests.
Over the course of the weekend for ticketholders, there will be Q&A Sessions with Greg Gagne, Shane Douglas, Kevin Sullivan, Barbara Goodish as well as a World Class Championship Wrestling discussion with Marc Lowrance, Hollywood John Tatum , Missy Hyatt and Bobby Fulton discussing their WCCW memories.
Queens of Combat will present a live women’s wrestling event on Thursday 8/15 at 7:30 PM featuring QOC Champion Diamante vs. Priscilla Kelly, Aja Perrera vs. Madi Maxx, Savannah Evans vs. Kris Stadtlander vs. Tasha Steelz vs. Zoey Skye, Scarlett Bordeaux and more to be announced.
On Friday 8/16, there will be a banquet dinner honoring the 35th Anniversary of the Midnight Express, the late Bobby Heenan (with his wife Cindi appearing in his honor), Barry Windham, Randy Savage (with Lanny Poffo appearing in his honor), Missy Hyatt and Bruiser Brody (with his wife, Barbara Goodish, appearing in his honor.)
There will also be another live event, titled “Rumble at the Hilton” on Saturday 8/17 at 7:30 PM featuring a 20 Man Royal Rumble, CW Anderson vs. Caleb Konley, The International Superstars vs. The Dirty Blondes, Mike Jackson in action plus Shane Douglas, Missy Hyatt, Mr. Hughes, Swoogle , Scarlett Bordeaux , Katarina ,Lodi , Ricky Santana, The Cuban Assassin , Col. Robert Parker, Big Sean Studd and more scheduled to appear.
On Saturday evening 8/17, for an additional fee, there will be a Jim Ross and Conrad Thompson podcast live.
Vendor guests appearing over the course of the weekend at The Gathering include Mance Werner, Brutus Beefcake, The Boogeyman, Scarlett Bordeaux, Kurt Angle, Baron Von Raschke, Lodi, Outlaw Joel Deaton (aka Thunderfoot #1), CW Anderson, Andrew Anderson, Mike Jackson, Jake Roberts, Tommy Young, Tim Horner, Rocky King, Tennessee Stud Ron Fuller, Robert Fuller, Katarina, Leilani Kai, Judy Martin, Desiree Peterson, Boris Zhukov, Jerry Stubbs, Tommy Dreamer, and more.
