By Mike Johnson on 2019-07-20 19:46:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of Ring of Honor's Manhattan Mayhem, which is streaming live for Honorclub subscribers from The Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

The announcers are Ian Riccaboni, Colt Cabana and Caprice Coleman.

Cary Silkin is in attendance.

Jonathan Gresham vs. Dragon Lee

They went nose to nose before the bell.  There was a Dragon Lee chant.

They went back and forth with some nice action and faced off.  Lee took Gresham down with a leglock and disrespected Gresham with a boot to the face.   They chopped at each other.  That battled until Gresham caught him with an obviously low blow while the referee was clearing the ring of tape they combatants had taken off their wrists.

Gresham began tying Lee up on the mat.  When the referee admonished him, Gresham had words with him.  Gresham continued to work on Lee’s arm.  Lee finally began mounting a comeback and nailed a backbreaker over the knee.  He and Gresham began battling back and forth with forearms and strikes.

They battled to the top, where Lee nailed a double stomp off the ropes and a running knee for a two count.  He pulled his kneepad down and drilled Gresham again, scoring the pin.

Your winner, Dragon Lee!

A good back and forth match.

ROH Champion Matt Taven came to the ringside area.  He took a mic from Bobby Cruise and entered the ring for a promo.  He's wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey for heat.  He said the last time he was in NYC, it was the greatest moment of his entire life.  All the Melvins got to see Taven take home the ROH title.  Lots of boos.  He said that he thought nothing could top that, but this past Monday, he threw out the first pitch at Fenway Park and that was the greatest moment of his life.  Just when he thought it couldn't get any better, tonight might outdo all of that.  The seven year rivalry he's had with Jay Lethal comes to an end tonight.  He said that whether the fans like it or not, tonight he's going to prove to all the haters and critics that he's the ROH Champion because he's Matt Taven and he's better than Lethal.

Kenny King came to the ring.  King said Taven has been ignoring his phone calls, so he's there to talk to him.  He said that everyone knows he's wearing a lame-a** jersey for a lame-a** champion.  The crowd popped for King told them the Yankees suck too.  He said that he doesn't care who Taven beat in MSG because he beat Liger and Muta.  He said this is the new ROH and we want to be live and unpredictable, so let's do some live and unpredictable sh**.  All he wants is his title shot and he wants to be added to the match with Jay Lethal.  Taven wants to prove he's better than Lethal, but he also needs to prove who's the real King in ROH.  He told Taven he doesn't think Taven will do it. because he'll put Taven in a hospital bed.

Taven said he's beaten Williams, Cobb, PCO and the list goes on and he's happy to add him because there's only one K-I-N-G and it's Matt Taven.  King said, "Thanks, that's all I needed.  See you later."

So, it's now a three-way later with Taven vs. Lethal vs. King.

Jay Lethal came to the ring and got in Taven's face angry about this turn of events.  They started brawling in the ring.  Officials and security hit the ring to break things up.    Lethal was pissed in the ring as Taven was taken to the back.

Coast 2 Coast vs. The Bouncers vs. Soliders of Savagery

The Bouncers came in through the crowd with the idea they were at the bar.  Much of the early going of the bout was SOS controlling the ring in their Hammerstein debut.  The Bouncers gained control but SOS took over on Beer City Bruiser and put him through a table. Referee Brian Hebner disqualified and eliminated the SOS.  Since this wasn't announced as an Elimination match, that came off wonky.

Coast 2 Coast worked over Brian Milonas, who kept kicking up at the last second from their big offense.  The tide turned after Milonas escaped a double team situation.  Bruiser returned to action to set up a double team Alabama Slam for the pin.

Your winners, The Bouncers.

The Kingdom's TK O'Ryan and Vinne Marseglia came from under the ring and beat them with steel chairs and laid out the Bouncers.  Marseglia sat down over the Bruiser and lit up a cigar.  He said that in case everyone has forgotten, these two lifeless bodies on the mat are the number one contenders for the ROH Tag Team titles.  He said the Kingdom, ROH and the fans all know that The Kingdom should have been the top contenders for the ROH Tag Team titles a long time ago.  He told the Bruiser he would get sick with him and put the lit cigar out on Bruiser's bare chest.  Good promo.

TK O'Ryan called out Rush.  He said, "El Americano is in the ring" and called him out for a fight right now.  It was the most swagger and the most natural O'Ryan has ever come across on the mic in ROH.

Rush vs. TK O'Ryan.

They did cat and mouse early with Rush pursuing. O'Ryan cut him off and nailed the Three Amigos on Rush before mocking Eddy Guerrero's mannerisms   He covered Rush for a two count.  Rush made a comeback and whipped O'Ryan into the barricades on the floor.  Rush stepped on a chair and played to the crowd.  Rush came off the ropes and drilled him with a kick to the back of the head.  O'Ryan was sent into the corner.  Rush killed him with a vicious dropkick in the corner and scored the pin.

Your winner, Rush!

They was a lot more competitive than you'd have expect.  Solid match that showed O'Ryan took the fight to Rush without taking the spotlight off the lucha star.  Rush will make someone a lot of money one day.

As Rush was leaving, he high-fives a fan wearing his mask at ringside.  The fan then hopped the rail and attacked him and worked him over, revealing himself to be Dalton Castle.

They aired a video feature Jay Lethal losing ROH's G1 Supercard in Madison Square Garden.

The announcers brought out Alex Shelley, who will be challenging for the ROH title in Toronto.  He joined them for commentary.
