NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING ACTION FIGURE LINE ANNOUNCED AT SDCC

By Mike Johnson on 2019-07-18 23:40:00

Earlier today at the San Diego Comic-Con, Super 7 announced they would be producing a New Japan Pro Wrestling action figure line. They did not reveal any personalities that would be featured in the line nor did they reveal the format or look of the toy line, just that they have acquired the license to produce the action figures.

Super 7 holds licenses for a number of different franchises including the Masked Republic's Legends of Lucha Libre and Universal Studios Monsters.  They have produced a plethora of different movie and television properties via their Reaction action figure line, which is meant to invoke the look and feel of the 1970s Kenner action figures popularized by Star Wars.

While New Japan has had a number of toys and figures produced in Japan over the years, this would be the first time that such an action figure line would be produced in the United States.

More details as we confirm them.
