MLW FUSION REPORT: DAVEY BOY SMITH JR VS. MJF & MORE

Last week, Alexander Hammerstone defeated Brian Pillman Jr. to become the first National Openweight Champion. Teddy Hart was able to retain the Junior Heavyweight Title against Jimmy Havoc but the Dynasty attacked Hart after the match.

Rich Bocchini is with Alexander Hammerstone while he does some training. He says that people don’t want to talk about him working hard. He does not get the due respect because people do not associate themselves with him. They associate themselves with Brian Pillman and his lifestyle. Where did that get him? It got him on his back on the mat. He might not be your favorite wrestler, but he is the champion. Rich asks Alex about Richard Holliday and Maxwell Jacob Friedman. He did not choose to hang around them, they chose to hang around him. He was the one who gave Dynasty a destiny. Alex asks Rich to try to lift the weight he was using and Rich is unable to do it. Alex picks up Rich and gets him on his shoulders and does some dips.

We are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and your announcers are Jim Cornette and Rich Bocchini.

They mention what Contra Unit did when they kidnapped MLW Champion Tom Lawlor. They say that Tom does not want any legal action brought against them, and he will take care of them.

Match Number One: Kotto Brazil versus Richard Holliday (with Aria Blake)

Brazil with a kick to the leg. Holliday blocks a kick and pushes Brazil to the mat. Holliday pushes Brazil and Brazil pushes back. Holliday with a knee but Brazil with a punch and drop kick. Brazil runs into a boot from Holliday. Holliday with a short arm clothesline followed by a boot to the chest. Holliday with punches in the corner.

Brazil with a kick and chops but Holliday with a back elbow. Holliday sends Brazil into the turnbuckles and chops Brazil. Holliday with an Irish whip and Brazil tries to float over but Holliday catches Brazil. Brazil escapes and springboards over Holliday and applies a guillotine but Holliday counters with a brainbuster for a near fall. Holliday with a slam. Brazil with a kick and a jumping stunner. Holliday misses a splash into the corner and Brazil with a series of runinng European uppercuts into the corner and a clothesline.

Brazil goes up top and hits a missile drop kick. Brazil with a boot to the head but Holliday with a clothesline. Holliday with a Doctor Bomb for the three count.

Winner: Richard Holliday

We are back with a look at the end of the National Openweight Title Match.

Match Number Two: Ace Austin versus Air Wolf

Austin with a waist lock into a side head lock. Wolf with a side head lock of his own. Austin with an arm bar. Wolf tries for a reversal but Austin with a forearm to the chest. Wolf with a reversal and drop toe hold into a front face lock. Austin with a head scissors take down but Wolf responds with a head scissors of his own. Austin misses a kick and Wolf with an arm drag into an arm bar.

Wolf with a head lock take down and drop kick. Austin gets back into the ring and he gives Wolf a drop toe hold into the ropes. Austin chokes Wolf in the ropes and applies a waist lock. Wolf with a standing switch. Wolf goes for a springboard move but Austin sends Wolf to the floor and Austin with a suicide dive. Austin with knees to Wolf followed by a forearm to the back. Austin goes to the apron and avoids Wolf and then Austin kicks Wolf in the head. Austin kicks Wolf in the ribs and sends him back into the ring.

Austin with a front face lock but Wolf chops Austin. Wolf tries to German suplex Austin back into the ring but Austin grabs the mask. Austin with a slingshot springboard round kick for a near fall. Austin with a knee to the back and he applies a rear chin lock. Austin with a forearm and kick to the arm. Austin with a front face lock and chop. Austin with a drop kick.

Wolf with a kick when Austin charges into the corner. Austin catches Wolf and puts Wolf in the tree of woe. Austin with kicks and the referee warns Austin. Austin works on the neck and pulls at the mask before Wolf can get out of the turnbuckles. Austin misses a springboard leg drop and Wolf floats over and hits a running forearm and back elbow. Wolf with a running European uppercut and chops. Wolf with a snap German suplex and Tail Spin for a near fall. Wolf with kicks to the chest. Austin kicks Wolf in the leg and then in the head. Austin with an elbow drop followed by a spinning suplex for a near fall. Austin gets another near fall.

Austin punches Wolf. Austin with kicks to the chest. Wolf blocks a kick and Wolf with an uppercut. Ace with a clothesline. Austin misses a clothesline and Wolf with a kick to the head. Wof with a Tiger Feint Kick and Wolf goes up top. Austin hits the ropes and Wolf is crotched. Austin with a forearm to the head and elbow. Austin goes to the apron and kicks Wolf in the back of the head. Wolf sends Austin to the mat and Wolf with a Flatliner for the three count.

Winner: Air Wolf

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see Myron Reed protesting outside the building earlier today.

Salina de la Renta is asked what will she do when she produces her next show. She says she will give us the main event of the year. Sami Callihan will face Mance Warner in a Falls Count Anywhere Match and the loser leaves MLW forever.

We go to the Kings of Colosseum Control Center. The main event will be Tom Lawlor versus Jacob Fatu for the MLW World Championship.

MLW World Champion Tom Lawlor tells Contra Unit to look at him face to face. Tom asks if he hasn’t been beaten up and bloodied before? He is ready for that, but he did not sign up to get stabbed in the back each time. How will he clean up Contra? He will find someone who can take them out who have integrity and brotherhood. He found the Von Erichs and they will teach you a lesson. For once, this place will get cleaned up.

We go to commercial.

We are back with comments from Mance Warner and Sami Callihan about next week’s match. Sami calls Salina the Executive Vice President but Mance corrects him and says she is executive producer. Sami says not everyone here can be Executive Vice President. So you are going to make them fight in a Falls Count Anywhere Match where the loser leaves MLW. They both like to fight and scrap. Sami says they will go out there and damn near give Jim Cornette a stroke because their match will be so violent. Sami says he will win and Mance will ride away. Mance says that is not going to happen because he ain’t going nowhere. Sami grabs a staple gun and says he will see Mance next week.

Next week, Rey Horus faces Flamita. Low Ki will face Ricky Martinez.

Low Ki is asked about his match against Ricky Martinez. Low Ki says he is always prepared. Ricky, you have sealed your fate because Ricky is on his list.

Josef Samael says that Tom Lawlor is a glutton for punishment. Jacob Fatu asks Tom how does it feel to get scalped? You want to challenge Contra Unit? They are dealers in violence. They make the rules. You have a challenge for us and we accept. Jacob says they will slice your ass and deal with all three of you.

Match Number Three: Davey Boy Smith Jr. versus Maxwell Jacob Friedman (with Aria Blake, Richard Holliday, and Alexander Hammerstone)

Friedman avoids Smith and goes to the floor. Friedman returns to the ring and it is not for long because he goes back to the floor to get into Smith’s head.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Smith is down as Friedman chokes Smith with a t-shirt while the referee is distracted by Hammerstone. Friedman gets a near fall. Friedman stomps on the leg. Smith chokes Friedman with the shirt and the referee warns Smith. Friedman with a kick to the shin but Smith with an enzuigiri.

Smith goes to the turnbuckles to punch Friedman. Smith puts Friedman on the turnbuckles for a superplex and he hits it and gets a near fall. Smith with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall because he could not bridge due to the damage done to his leg. Smith with a power slam for a near fall. Smith kicks Friedman and sets for a tombstone and hits it.

Smith goes up top and hits a diving head butt, but Smith holds his knee and cannot get the cover immediately and Holliday puts Friedman’s foot on the rope. Holliday gets on the apron and Smith knocks him off. Briam Pillman comes out and he attacks Holliday while Friedman clips Smith’s leg. Smith kicks Friedman away when he tries for a Sharpshooter. Smith knocks Hammerstone off the apron. Friedman with a rollup and his foot on the ropes but the referee stops the count.

Teddy Hart comes out and goes ater Hammerstone. Smith with a running power slam for the three count.

Winner: Davey Boy Smith Jr.

We go to the back and we see people down in the back with Contra Unit standing over them. Josef Samael shoots a fireball at the camera and we go to credits.
