Samoa Joe is once again the WWE United States Champion as a result of Rey Mysterio relinquishing the title back to Joe, who he defeated for the title at Money in the Bank last month, due to the separated shoulder Mysterio suffered at the PPV.
Joe grabbed Mysterio after he surrendered the title, choking him out, so one should expect that feud to continue when Mysterio is cleared to return to performing by WWE.
