Vince McMahon was not backstage at Takeover: XXV.
The event was the highest grossing WWE event in the history of WWE running Bridgeport, CT at the Webster Bank Arena, which includes several Raw and Smackdown tapings.
Bobby Fish had his arm in a sling at the end of Takeover as a precautionary measure as he banged up his shoulder and arm during the Ladder Match for the NXT Tag Team titles. The hope is that it's a minor issue but they won't be able to confirm that until they get an MRI and other medical testing done. The belief is that everyone else came out relatively unscathed but they want to wait and see how everyone is feeling tomorrow due to the nature of the match.
The 8/31 date for the NXT UK Takeover in Cardiff, Wales had been locked in for several months before it was announced tonight.
There will be additional NXT Target specials going forward in advance of Takeover events, but nothing concrete was expressed in terms of how often.
Since they did not have access to the usual production accoutrements they would normally utilize on a Wrestlemania or Summerslam week as this was a stand-alone event, much of the backstage production set up was different from a normal WWE TV production and they used a different, smaller lighting rig. Triple H said during the post-show media discussion that they were experimenting with different lighting techniques during the show and he'll be reviewing them to decide which he'll want to use down the line.
Tommaso Ciampa is considered way ahead of schedule in terms of his recovery from neck surgery, but there is no current timetable as to when he'll be returning to the ring. He was specifically brought to Takeover in order to take part in the evening so that he wasn't separate from a big event, which was a Triple H call.
The company debuted a brand new Mia Yim t-shirt at Takeover.
Damian Priest, who had a vignette promoting his TV debut at Takeover XXV, is the former Punishment Martinez in Ring of Honor. He's been signed to NXT since last November.
This Wednesday's NXT TV will feature Keith Lee vs. Kona Reeves and Bianca Belair vs. Mia Yim.
The next TV tapings are 6/12 and 6/13 at Full Sail Live, which will set the stage for Takeover: Toronto.
