WWE NXT UK REPORT: WALTER VERSUS DUNNE II

We begin with a look back at Pete Dunne and WALTER from Takeover. What will happen when we have the rematch tonight?

We are in Glasgow, Scotland and your announcers are Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness.

Match Number One: Travis Banks versus Joseph Conners in a Fatal Four Way Qualifying Match

They lock up and Banks with a waist lock and take down. Conners gets to the ropes. They lock up and Banks with a wrist lock into an arm bar. Banks with an arm drag into an arm bar. Conners slaps Banks and Banks blocks a kick and sends Conners face first into the mat and follows with a flying kick to Conners. Banks with kicks to the leg.

Banks with more kicks to the leg and Conners is sent to the apron. Conners comes back into the ring and is met with a clothesline. Conners blocks a kick on the apron and Conners hot shots Banks on the ring steps. Conners with punches and strikes as the referee warns Conners. Conners with kicks. Conners with a head butt to the midsection and he gets a near fall.

Banks with chops and Conners with a back elbow. Conners with a slam and he gets a near fall. Conners with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Conners with a reverse chin lock. Banks with a jaw breaker to get out of the hold but Banks runs into boots from Conners and Conners gets a near fall. Banks with a forearm and punches. Banks with kicks in the corner but Conners sends Banks into the turnbuckles. Conners charges into the corner and Banks kicks Conners into the turnbuckles. Banks with a hesitation drop kick to the arm followed by a running kick on the apron. Banks with a suicide dive but both men are down. Banks holds his leg when he gets back up and they return to the ring. Conners avoids a kick from Banks and Banks is sent into the turnbuckles. Conners with a slingshot bulldog followed by a sunset flip buckle bomb for a near fall. Banks with an inside cradle for a near fall. Banks and Conners exchange near falls.

Conners with a clothesline for a near fall. Conners with punches to Banks and then Conners goes for a slam but Banks escapes. Conners with a sunst flip off the turnbuckles but Banks rolls through. Banks with Slice of Heaven followed by the Kiwi Driver for the three count.

Winner: Travis Banks

After the match, Radzi asks Travis Banks about his chances in the Fatal Four Way Match. He says Joe Coffey injured him at Royal Albert Hall, Jordan Devlin kept him out of Takeover, and Dave Mastiff . . . is really big. Travis says it does not matter who you are, the Kiwi Buzzsaw will be the new number one contender.

We go to comments from Nina Samuels. She says in spite of your skills as a competitor, you were the easiest puppet to manipulate in her masterpiece. She did not have to ask her for a title match. All she had to do was go after her weaknesses to get Toni to make the challenge. Nina says he is always in control and Toni has lost all control. It is a dangerous place when her most prized possession is on the line. Nina says her fans have been congratulating her even before the finale because they know the result.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at the last time Mark Andrews faced Noam Dar and both men suffered injuries and the match had to be stopped by the referee.

Match Number Two: Noam Dar versus Mark Andrews

They shake hands before locking up. They lock up and Dar backs Andrews into the corner. Dar with a clean break. They lock up and Dar with a side head lock. Andrews with a back flip when Dar holds on to the ropes. Dar with a rollup and Andrews rolls through and misses a kick. Andrews with a side head lock. Andrews with a head scissors take down followed by a standing moonsault for a near fall. Andrews with a surfboard and kick. Andrews misses a cross body when Dar moves out of the way. Dar spins Andrews around to set up a backslide and Dar gets a near fall. Dar with an arm bar.

Dar with a clean break but Andrews with a forearm. Dar blocks a kick but Andrews with an enzuigiri. Andrews slides under a clothesline but Dar blocks an enzuigiri and applies an ankle lock. Dar with a bicycle kick and he gets a near fall. Andrews with a rollup for a near fall. Dar misses a Northern Lariat and Andrews with an enzuigiri. Dar with a series of kicks and an uppercut. Dar goes for a suplex but Andrews counters into Stundog Millionaire. Andrews with a flip dive onto Dar and Dar holds his knee. The referee checks on Dar but he collapses to the mat. Andrews, Dar, and the referee have a discussion and they shake hands. Andrews gets up and Dar is fine and he hits Andrews from behind with a forearm.

Dar with the Nova Roller for the three count.

Winner: Noam Dar

Radzi stops James Drake and Zack Gibson as they enter the building and they ask about the challenge made by Trent Seven and Tyler Bate. Zack says the people don’t make the matches. Zack says they are the champions and they decide when they wrestle and who they wrestle.

We go to commercial.

Rhea Ripley makes her way to the ring.

Rhea says she knows how desperately you want to see her in action tonight, but too bad. It is not going to happen. A little birdie has told her that Piper Niven is a big deal in Scotland. Rhea says to her, Piper Niven is nothing but a wannabe superstar that reeks of fear. She so desperately wants to be the dominant one in NXT. All Piper does is talk about her. Piper wants to be her. The truth is, Piper Niven, that when you step into this ring with her . . . nightmares become reality.

Kassius Ohno is in the back and he says that he has been trying to get in touch with Johnny Saint and Sid Scala. He wants to share the good news with the NXT UK Universe.

Kassius enters Johnny and Sid’s office. Kassius asks Sid what is the good news. Sid says they were going to tell him together later on. If you want to prove that you are the greatest in British wrestling. You get to do it next week and you get to face Jack Gallagher. Kassius says that Jack is a great competitor and they have never met before. Kassius tells Sid to tell John he says hello.

We go to commercial.

We are back and next week, Toni Storm defends the NXT UK Women’s Championship against Nina Samuels.

Match Number Three: WALTER versus Pete Dunne for the WWE UK Championship

They lock up and and WALTER backs Dunne into the corner and gives a clean break. Dunne goes for the fingers while WALTER has Dunne in a chin lock. Dunne with a wrist lock. WALTER with a reversal and arm wringer into an arm bar. Dunne with a head scissors and WALTER escapes. They go for a Greco Roman knuckle lock and Dunne stands on WALTER’s hand while he has a wrist lock on the other hand.

Dunne avoids a chop from WALTER and backs into the corner. They lock up and Dunne with a side head lock. WALTER with a top wrist lock into a side head lock take down. WALTER with a sleeper but Dunne is able to escape. Dunne blocks a boot from WALTER and Dunne with a dragon screw leg whip. WALTER goes to the floor. Dunne follws and WALTER with a chop. WALTER with another chop as the referee makes his count. WALTER chops the post when Dunne moves. Dunne breaks the count and he returns to the floor and he slams WALTER’s hand on the ring steps. Dunne with a kick to the arm.

WALTER with a boot to the head and Dunne is down. WALTER with a European uppercut and WALTER with a running drop kick to send Dunne into the ringside barrier. WALTER puts Dunne on the ring steps and WALTER stands on Dunne. WALTER with a boot to the head and Dunne is down on the apron.

WALTER goes for a forearm across the chest but Dunne blocks it and Dunne plays with the fingers until WALTER chops Dunne. WALTER kicks Dunne in the back. WALTER turns his attention to Dunne’s chest for kicks. WALTER with a knee to the back and he gets a near fall. WALTER with a rear chin lock. WALTER with knees to the midsection and then he kicks Dunne to show him no respect. WALTER with a forearm and Dunne fires back and sends WALTER to the mat. WALTER with an Irish whip and Dunne flips over WALTER and hits a drop kick.

Dunne with a missile drop kick to the knee. Dunne has a kick blocked but Dunne with a knee bar. WALTER escapes and connects with a forearm to the back. Dunne lands on his feet on a German suplex attempt and Dunne with a kick and Octopus. Dunne pulls at the fingers but WALTER escapes. Dunne with a crucifix bomb for a near fall. Dunne stomps on the hands and then he kicks WALTER. Dunne goes for the X Plex but WALTER with a clothesline. Dunne with a forearm and WALTER with a uranage for a near fall.

WALTER with a Boston crab. Dunne rolls over and kicks WALTER in the head to send WALTER to the mat. Dunne stomps on WALTER’s head and then Dunne goes for the fingers and pulls them back into submission but WALTER gets to the ropes. WALTER goes to the apron and Dunne grabs the hand and puts it in the turnbuckle pad. Dunne stands on the turnbuckle. WALTER clotheslines Dunne off the turnbuckles. Dunne with a thrust kick to stop WALTER on the turnbuckles. Dunne with a chop and he goes to the turnbuckles and applies a triangle. WALTER with forearms and Dunne counters a power bomb into a rana for a near fall. WALTER with chops and Dunne is down.

WALTER with more chops and he goes for a German suplex but Dunne holds on to the ropes and hits a German suplex of his own. WALTER with a clothesline for a near fall. WALTER goes up top but Dunne with a forearm as WALTER comes off the turnbuckles. Dunne hits Bitter End and Dunne with a triangle and then he pulls at the fingers.

Fabian Aichner comes ot the ring and he pushes the ropes to allow WALTER to get his foot on the ropes. Aichner argues with the referee and Marcel Barthel hits Dunne from behind. WALTER with a power bomb for the three count.

Winner: WALTER (retains championship)

After the match, Aichner and Barthel join WALTER in the ring and they all stand over Dunne.
