WWE DOING CALL UPS, NOT HAVING A PLAN IN PLACE, WHERE TO SEE CLASSIC FOOTAGE AND MORE

When performers are called up is it's Vince's call or is there some sort of meeting of the minds to make the decision?

Generally, it’s a Vince call.  Like with Ricochet, Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. The word we got was Vince basically said “give me your four top guys”.  There are times when there is input when the NXT brain trust feels talents are ready (or have gone as far as they can in NXT) but most of the time, it’s Vince.

Why do we so often see performers brought up with seemingly no plan which leads to them not getting over?  Recently EC3, Sanity, and the random call-ups with no build of Ricochet and Black come to mind.  Even with The War Raiders they were making name changes the day of their debut.

See above, Vince calls them up but doesn’t have any plans in place.  It’s kind of like they get up there, and then he decides what to do, or not do, with them then.  I believe that process could be improved…..a lot.

Why call them up if you can't even decide what to call them much less have a plan for them?

Generally, they are called up when Vince feels that the current roster is stale or needs new blood.  As I said above, having a plan for the new talents would be a lot better than just bringing them up.

How crazy is it that WWE refs wear plastic gloves but GCW refs do not?

WWE refs wear them because it’s the smart thing to do.  They are protecting themselves from bodily fluids that they could come in contact with.  Why GCW refs don’t wear them, I can’t say.  If I worked for them, I would whether the promotion gave them to me or not.

I was listening to clips of Shane Douglas’ podcast recently, where he was sharing a funny story about a 1997 ECW event held in Stamford, CT called Halloween Hell.  Considering the location of the show, Douglas & Candido decided to prank the locker room by coming out for their match dressed in singlets as the Dean & Skip characters, and had the Blue Meanie interrupt them with a spot-on impersonation of Shawn Michaels’ entrance.  Is there any footage of this event online anywhere?  I somehow doubt the WWE Network would ever air it even if they owned the footage.
