MLW FUSION REPORT: TAG TITLE MATCH, CONTRA IN ACTION, AND MORE

We begin with a look back at what Contra has done to Tom Lawlor and Ace Romero.

We are in Chicago, Illinois and your announcers are Jim Cornette and Rich Bocchini.

Mance Warner has joined Rich and Jim for the opening match.

Match Number One: Hijo de LA Park (with Salina de la Renta) versus Puma King

They lock up and Park with a waist lock and Puma with a standing switch. Park with an arm drag and Puma with a take down but Park with an arm drag. Park with a head scissors and arm drag but Puma with an arm drag. Puma offers his hand but pulls it away from Park. Park with a knee and chop. Puma with a head scissors and then he goes to the ropes and hits a double jump cross body onto Park.

Puma sends Park back into the ring and he sends Park face first into the mat. Salina grabs Puma’s ankle and Park with a head scissors and suicide dive. Park grabs a chair and hits Puma with it. The referee tells Park not to do it again. Park takes another chair and sends Puma back into the ring. Park puts the chair between Puma’s legs and he grabs the other chair and hits the chair into Puma’s groin.

Park sends Puma to the floor and snap mares him. Park whips Puma with the camera cable. Park kicks Puma in the head. They return to the ring and Park sends Puma over the ropes but Puma holds on and gets back into the ring. Puma kicks Park in the rear end. Puma with a tilt-a-whirl slam followed by a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Puma goes to the floor and gets some chairs. Puma brings the chairs into the ring. Puma with a thrust kick and then he puts a chair between Park’s legs and Puma swings into the chair. Park with a rolling elbow and a Code Red for a near fall. Puma with a power bomb to Park for a near fall.

Puma kicks Park and Puma goes to the turnbuckles. Park hits Puma with a chair and crotches Puma. Puma hangs from the tree of woe. Park goes to the turnbuckles but Puma with a head scissors take down. Puma goes to the apron and Park with an enzuigiri to stop Puma. Park with Spanish Fly for a near fall. Puma with a chop and back heel kick. Salina trips Puma and she gets on the apron. Salina hits Puma and Park with a JigNTonic. Park goes to the floor and spits at Warner. Warner spits back. Warner hits Park in the back with Cornette’s tennis racket and Warner sends Park back into the ring.

Puma with a Codebreaker and rollup for the three count.

Winner: Puma King

We go to comments from Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Richard Holliday. Maxwell mocks Teddy Hart. He tells Holliday to look dead inside to act like a member of the Hart Foundation. Maxwell says the Dynasty will . . .

They are interrupted by The Hart Foundation. Teddy says you won’t feel soo good after a few Canadian Destroyers off the turnbuckles. We see Brian Pillman Jr. in the pool doing some training while Davey Boy Smith Jr. watches. Davey tells Maxwell and Holliday they are not going to wrestle with them or play with them. They are going to hurt Holliday and Friedman.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we are told that last week’s call with Tom Lawlor’s doctor was not his doctor.

Tom Lawlor is asked about his condition. Tom says he does not care what the doctors have to say. They know about the human body, but they don’t know what is inside a fighter’s heart. He is cleared to fight. He says he wants to fight anyone in Contra. Whether it is Josef or Gotch or Fatu. Lawlor says he has more guts than ever. Contra, you guys tried to end his career and title reign. He says he will end your life in MLW before it gets off to a real start. You say you are a worldwide organization so be prepared to watch the world burn.

Match Number Two: Jacob Fatu and Josef Samael versus Chico Adams and Vertigo Rivera

Fatu and Samael attack their opponents and Josef sends Rivera to the floor. Fatu with a slam to Adams. Josef chokes Adams and chops him. Samael with another chop and he tosses Adams across the ring by his tape. Rivera tags in and Fatu with a super kick. Fatu with a pop up Samoan drop to Adams. Samael tags in and he stabs Adams with the spike and the referee calls for the bell.

Winners: Vertigo Rivera and Chico Adams (by disqualification)

After the match, Samael slams Adams and Fatu with a moonsault. Samael tells Fatu to do it again and he hits another moonsault. They kick Adams and Samael throws a fireball in Rivera’s face.

Adams is put on a stretcher and Fatu with a double jump moonsault onto Adams on the stretcher.

Samael throws water at some of the fans and the fans throw water and bottles at Samael and Fatu in the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the Battle Riot II Control Center.

We go to comments from Salina de la Renta and LA Park. Park says that he will win Battle Riot.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Maxwell Jacob Friedman has some pre-match comments. He asks for a moment of complete silence from the idiots. Maxwell addresses Stu Hart in ‘heaven’ and then he looks down to hell to address Stu. He says that Stu thinks he left a good legacy but he left it in the name of Teddy Hart and that legacy means jack squat. The only legacy in pro wrestling is The Dynasty. We are better than you and you know it.

Match Number Three: Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Richard Holliday versus Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Teddy Hart (with Brian Pillman Jr.) for the MLW Tag Team Championship

The referee has to hold both teams apart before the bell rings.

Friedman and Hart start things off and Maxwell rolls to the floor to stall. Hart kicks at Friedman on the floor. Holliday comes in and he goes into the ropes to stop Hart from going after him. Hart knocks Friedman off the apron with a punch. Hart chops Holliday and connects with an uppercut. Hart with a punch but Holliday with an Irish whip. Smith tags in and Hart with a Code Red. Smith with a butterfly suplex for a near fall.

Smith kicks Holliday in the chest. Smith with a forearm and kick to the chest. Smith with a delayed vertcial suplex and he gets a near fall. Hart tags in and Smith with a slam and Hart is helped to the ropes by Pillman for a moonsault but Hart shows the impact on his injured ribs. Hart with an uppercut. Friedman makes the blind tag and hits Hart from behind while Holliday distracts him. Friedman with kicks to the ribs.

Friedman stands on the midsection and then he spits water in Smith’s face and that allows him and Holliday to attack Hart while the referee deals with Smith. Friedman sends Hart into the guardrails and apron but Smith with a crossface to Friedman. Friedman Irish whips Hart into the guardrails. Holliday with a forearm to the back. Holliday with a double leg take down and he goes for a Sharpshooter and applies it but Smith slaps Holliday and kicks him in the head.

Friedman with a hanging piledriver in the ropes and Holliday gets a near fall on Hart. Friedman tags in and he punches Hart in the ropes. Friedman with an abdominal stretch and Holliday gives some support for Friedman. Hart with a hip toss to escape and he punches Holliday. Hart with a Canadian Destroyer and both men are down. Smith tags in and he kicks Holliday off the apron and then he kicks Friedman. Smith punches Friedman in the corner. Holliday with a waist lock and Smith with a standing switch. Smith kicks Friedman and hits a German suplex on Holliday. Smith with a European uppercut and chops to Holliday. Smith biels Holliday onto Friedman in the corner. Smith with a Tiger suplex for a near fall. Smith goes for a powr bomb and hits it for a near fall. Smith sends Holliday to the floor. Hart goes to the turnbuckles while Smith gets Friedman on his shoulders.

Alex Hammerstone comes to the ring and he hits Smith in the back with a chair. The referee calls for the bell.

Winners: Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Teddy Hart (by disqualification)

After the match, Hammerstone hits Hart with the chair and then he hits Pillman with it. Hammerstone punches Smith and then Friedman and Holliday join in the assault.
