The Revival, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, captured the Raw Tag Team Championship tonight on Raw, defeating Bobby Roode and Chad Gable in a great, long bout. It was the first Raw Tag Team championship for the former NXT Tag Team champions.
The title win was a remarkable turnaround, given that the Revival had requested a WWE release several weeks ago.
The team had been one of the cornerstones for NXT but had been marred by injuries and poor creative for much of their main roster run. In recent weeks, The Revival vs. Gable and Roode had been one of the highlights of the Smackdown live events, going 30-40 minutes in the ring every night with great reviews of their bouts.
