WWE returned to DeKalb, Illinois last night at the IUU Convocation Center. No WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, so we had Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles in what was a pretty unique main event. Here are the results:
*Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev defeated the Usos & New Day in a Triple Threat Match. I was hoping to see Rusev do Nakamura's dancing entrance but it didn't happen. Mandy Rose distracted Jey Uso, leading to him being hit with the Machka Kick.
*Mandy cut a promo on Naomi, who hit the ring and attacked Mandy. Naomi vs. Mandy Rose saw Sonya Deville interfering, which brought out Carmella. It was turned into a tag team bout with Carmella and Naomi winning after the Rear View on Deville.
*Shelton Benjamin pinned the returning Tye Dillinger. Samoa Joe came out and choked out Shelton Benjamin and demanded competition.
*Mustafa Ali upset Samoa Joe with a rollup after escaping a muscle buster. Nice reaction for this one.
*Charlotte Flair defeated WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Asuka by DQ when Becky Lynch ran in and attacked her, then Asuka with a crutch. BIG reaction for Lynch and a really strong match.
*WWE United States Champion R-Truth and Carmella come out and there's a DANCE BREAK. Andrade comes out, leading to Truth beating him with a rollup. More dancing.
*MizTV: The Miz brought out Jeff Hardy. The Bar came out and challenged Miz for the Tag titles. Shane wasn't there, so...
*WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champion The Miz & Jeff Hardy (teaming for the first time ever) defeated The Bar.
*AJ Styles pinned Randy Orton with the Phenomenal Forearm.
