BBC’s The One Show did an excellent segment on the history of British women’s wrestling yesterday, interviewing the legendary Klondyke Kate who was the first major female pro wrestling TV star in the UK in the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s. Kate is a supporter of the current women’s wrestling scene today.
The segment also featured a taped interview with Pro Wrestling: EVE regulars Rhia O’Reilly, Kris Wolf, and Session Moth Martina from The Resistance Gallery, along with some match highlights.
Charlie Morgan and O’Reilly were interviewed live on set. Morgan did a wrestling demonstration. This was well done as they treated pro wrestling more like a serious sport instead of comedy. You can watch the segment below:
