WWE NXT UK EPISODE 27 REPORT: WALTER, PETE DUNNE, DEVLIN VERSUS BANKS, AND MORE

We take a look back at highlights from NXT UK Takeover from two weeks ago.

Travis Banks says that he was attacked twice by Jordan Devlin and he took his chance on Takeover from him. There will be no cheap shots, it will just be them one on one. That match will take place tonight.

We are in Blackpool, England and your announcers are Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness.

NXT UK Men’s Champion Pete Dunne makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.

Pete says at Takeover, we made history. It all started here two years ago and since then, this whole brand has changed. Since May 2017, one thing has remained the same. Pete says he is still the WWE UK Champion.

Gallus’ music plays and Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang make their way to the stage.

Joe says Takeover didn’t change a thing. This is still very much his kingdom. In losing a battle to you, he started to thing of new strategies to win the war and that the NXT UK Championship will be his. That it will be Gallus.

Look at that title that you have held for over 600 days. Joe tells Pete to look at him. Enjoy that title because we know whose waist it will be around when this war is over. If anyone has a problem with that, they can get to the back of the line.

The lights go out and WALTER appears on the stage. He makes his way to the ring. Joe has to be held back by Mark and Wolfgang.

Joe leaves the ring and Mark and Wolfgang join him on his way to the back.

Wolfgang goes to the ring and he goes after Dunne. Mark runs into a boot from WALTER. Wolfgang leaves the ring after Pete works on the fingers.

WALTER looks at the title belt on the mat and Pete picks it up.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Sid Scala announces that NXT UK will be in Phoenix for the World’s Collide tournament and they will be taping three episodes of NXT UK. They want to win the World’s Collide tournament and they want the roster to prove why they are the number one up and coming brand.

Sid sees the NXT UK Tag Team Champions James Drake and Zack Gibson enter the building and he congratulates them on their victory at Takeover. Sid asks them if they have any comments for the media.

Zack points out that now Sid wants to talk to them since they are the champions. In the weeks leading up to Takeover, all of you wanted to talk to Moustache Mountain. They will talk when they want to and you will get their address next week.

Match Number One: Nina Samuels versus Lana Austin

They lock up and Nina with a wrist lock. Lana uses the ropes to reverse the hold and applies a wrist lock. Nina with a hip lock take down. Lana with a European uppercut and snap mare followed by a drop kick for a near fall. Lana with a running European uppercut. Nina with a boot to the head and she chokes Lana in the ropes and hits a drop kick to the back for a near fall.

Nina with an arm bar and chin lock. Nina gets a near fall and then she returns to the arm bar and chin lock. Nina with a snap mare and leap frog neck snap for a near fall. Samuels returns to the arm bar and chin lock. Lana with a side Russian leg sweep to get out of the hold. Lana with clotheslines and a running European uppercut. Lana with a knee and rolling elbow for a near fall.

Austin with a front face lock but Samuels works on the shoulder and hits the Prima Donna for the three count.

Winner: Nina Samuels

We take a look back at highlights from the NXT Tag Title Tournament Finals.

Moustache Mountain was interviewed after the match and they were asked about coming so close. Trent says they wanted to be the first ever but Tyler says they came up short. Tyler says that what makes them different is that when they lose, they get back up and never lose sight of their goals. That goal is the NXT UK Tag Team Championships.

Travis Banks is in the back getting ready for his match with Jordan Devlin.

We go to commercial.

We are back with comments from Toni Storm after she won the NXT UK Women’s Championship. She says she just became the NXT UK Women’s Champion after winning the Mae Young Classic. She could have chosen any of the titles, but she loves this brand and she will do whatever it takes to step up and make the division the best it can be. She is asked about the change in Toni’s attitude. Toni says the Mae Young Classic changed everything about her. She suffered a back injury and she became a better person.

Match Number Two: Eddie Dennis versus Jamie Ahmed

Dennis with a forearm as soon as the bell rings. Dennis misses a chop and Ahmed with punches and an Irish whip followed by a hip toss. Ahmed with a waist lock and Dennis with a standing switch. Ahmed with an elbow and Dennis with a clothesline. Dennis with a punch and forearm. Dennis with a hard Irish whip.

Dennis with a cravate and he grapevines the leg. Ahmed with a take down but Dennis holds on to the cravate. Ahmed with a take down but Dennis holds on to the cravate again. Ahmed with punches but Dennis with a knee. Dennis throws Ahmed over the top rope to the floor. Dennis goes to the floor and he hits a running forearm.

Dennis slams Ahmed on the floor. Dennis sends Ahmed back into the ring and Dennis gets Ahmed up but Ahmed lands on his feet and Ahmed with punches and a round kick. Ahmed goes up top and Dennis with a Yakuza kick to stop Ahmed. Dennis goes to the turnbuckles for a superplex and he hits it.

Dennis with the Next Stop Driver for the three count.

Winner: Eddie Dennis

We are told that Moustache Mountain will face Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel next week.

We go to commercial with Jordan Devlin getting ready for his match.

We are back and WALTER makes his in ring debut next week.

Match Number Three: Jordan Devlin versus Travis Banks

Banks with forearms after running to the ring. They go back and forth with forearms. Banks with a kick and clothesline that sends Devlin over the top rope to the floor. Banks with a suicide dive. Banks goes back into the ring and he hits another suicide dive. Devlin goes into the crowd and Banks follows him into the front row to chop Devllin. Banks kicks Devlin over the ringside barrier back into the ringside area. Banks goes to the ringside barrier for a Thesz Press and punches.

Banks charges at Devlin and Devlin moves but Banks stops short. Devlin works on the injured knee and Devlin tries to stomp on it on the ring steps but Banks pulls his leg away. Banks with a running double stomp off the apron to the back. Banks sends Devlin back into the ring. Devlin begs for mercy and Banks with kicks to the chest. Banks with a thrust kick and then he goes to the turnbuckles but Devlin kicks Banks in the legs. Devlin follows with a lungblower. Devlin stomps on the back and follows with a forearm to the head. Devlin chokes Banks on the top rope.

Devlin with a back breaker on the shoulder and he gets a near fall. Devlin stands over Banks but Banks with punches and Devlin with a urnanage followed by a standing moonsault for a near fall. Devlin with a top wrist lock but Banks with punches. Devlin with a knee and hard Irish whip. Devlin with a snap mare and he stretches Banks. Banks with forearms but Devlin sends Banks to the apron. Banks brings Devlin to the apron. Banks goes for a suplex on the apron but Devlin lands on his feet and he sends Banks into the ring post. Devlin with a Spanish Fly off the apron to the floor.

The referee starts his count as both men start to move after the Spanish Fly. Devlin sends Banks into the ringside barrier and returns to the ring at nine but Banks gets back in before the ten count. Devlin gets Banks on his shoulders and Banks with a victory roll for a near fall. Devlin with a Spanish Fly but Banks gets up and hits a clothesline. Both men fall in the center of the ring.

Banks grabs Devlin’s wrist but Devlin with forearms. Banks with forearms and a knee to the head. Devlin with a head butt and both men go down. Devlin pulls Banks up and hits a Saito suplex for a near fall. Devlin goes up top but Banks counters the moonsault with knees to the chest. Banks with a running drop kick that sends Devlin into the turnbuckles. Banks with a Kiwi Crusher for a near fall. Banks picks up Devlin and goes to the turnbuckles but misses a Slice of Hell when Devlin collapses in the ring. Devlin gets Banks up and both men go to the floor. The referee starts his count and gets to ten.

Double Count Out

After the match, both men exchange punches on the floor as the referee tries to control things. Banks sends Devlin into the ringside barrier and they fight into the crowd.
