MILWAUKEE TO UNVEIL MEMORIAL STATUE FOR THE CRUSHER THIS JUNE

By Mike Johnson on 2019-01-22 19:18:00

Following a successful crowfunding campaign last year, the city of Milwaukee will unveil a statue and memorial in tribute to former AWA World Champion The Crusher this June, according to FOX 6.  The memorial will be located at on the corner of 11th and Milwaukee in South Milwaukee and will be shaped like a wrestling ring with a statue of The Crusher elevated within the ring.

Reggie “The Crusher” Lisowski passed away in 2005 at 79 years old.  He was billed as "The Wrestler That Made Milwaukee Famous" and was an extremely popular blue-collar brawling babyface for the AWA.   He was inducted into WCW's Hall of Fame in 1994 and was voted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2005.  He's certainly a likely candidate for future inclusion in the WWE Hall of Fame's Legacy Wing.
