WWE announced this morning that starting with tonight's episode of 205 Live from Wichita, Kansas, Smackdown star Aiden English will be joining the broadcast team of Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness.
WWE's announcement notes that English will be a "guest commentator" weekly on the WWE Network series through Wrestlemania 35.
Michael Cole, who oversees the announcers in WWE, commented in the announcement that English had been working on his announcing skills at the WWE Performance Center and praised him, commenting, “We wanted to do something special for Wrestlemania season, and Royal Rumble week kicks off the Road to WrestleMania. We’ve been working with Aiden at the WWE Performance Center to see if he has the chops, and it turns out he’s pretty good.”
English 31, has been with WWE since signing a WWE developmental deal in 2011. Tonight's 205 Live episode will be the 111th for the series, headlined by Hideo Itami (with Ariya Daivari) vs. Kalisto vs. Akira Tozawa.
