Impact Wrestling’s Sonjay Dutt was one of a plane-full of unfortunate passengers who left on a flight from Newark International Airport over the weekend but had to land at Goose Bay Airport in Labrador, Canada (a military base) on Saturday night due to a medical emergency. However, a mechanical issue (said by Dutt to be a broken door) left the passengers sitting on the tarmac for 16 hours in the cold with dwindling food and water supplies. They could not be taken off the plane because they were in Canada with no way to process their visa for entry, so they were stuck until another plane could be sent for them in 20-26 degree BEFORE zero temperatures. At one point, according to Dutt, the email address for the CEO of United was given out for passengers to email him. They were finally flown back to Newark at 4 PM the next day. It sounded completely horrific and has gotten a lot of media attention globally with Dutt doing some media appearances in its wake. Dutt was on his way to Hong Kong for an independent wrestling date that obviously, he missed. He is home in Virgnia.
