Former Minnesota Governor and WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura will be making his first-ever pro wrestling convention appearance on 3/9 at the Big Event in Queens, NY at the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel in East Elmhurst.

The Sabu biography has been officially titled Sabu: Scars Silence & Superglue.  The book, co-written by Kenny Casanova, who has done a great job on previous books with Kamala and Brutus Beefcake, among others, will begin taking orders on 2/1.  The Lansing State Journal featured a piece on the forthcoming book with Sabu, naturally, declining to comment as he "hates talking about himself."  Thanks to Scott D.

Former ECW star Joel Gertner popped up in an episode of Showtime's Ray Donovan a few weeks back as a featured extra in a scene with Jon Voight.  The series films in NYC, where Gertner lives.

The CBS series Young Sheldon featured a scene where the family was watching the TV and it was a scene of Ric Flair vs. Wahoo McDaniel.

New Jersey-based WrestlePro have announced a 4/20/19 date at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska.  It will be the first major non-WWE event in the State in 17 years.  Announced thus far for the event are WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, Impact Wrestling Champion Johnny Impact, Chris Adonis (fka Chris Masters), Swoggle, Colt Cabana, KM, Fallah Bahh, Sonjay Dutt, Katarina Leigh, MJF, Taya Valkyrie, Pat Buck, Mario Bokara, Dan Maff, former ROH Pure Champion John Walters, The Heavenly Bodies, Bobby Wayward, Anthony Bowens, Matt Macintosh and more.  The show will feature a meet and greet at 5 PM with belltime at 7 PM.  The Mick Foley meet and greet will be capped at 250 tickets with pre-sales available now at   Tickets are on sale now at at this link.
