The second episode of The Rock’s Titan Games will air tonight on NBC. The first broadcast very enjoyable and brought in over six million overnight viewers, so if they can maintain that, I’d be shocked if it doesn’t get renewed for a second season.
Former Impact Wrestling star Robert “Robbie E.” Strauss will be competing on tonight’s episode.
The Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn, NY will be screening the Roddy Piper classic film They Live on 1/16 at 7 PM. Originally released in November 1988, the John Carpenter film was the top film at the box office for its debut, making $13,008,928 over the course of a four-week run in theaters. In the film, Piper portrays John Nada, a homeless man who uncovers an alien plot to subvert humanity with subliminal messages. Piper's fight scene with Keith David is one of the most celebrated in cinema history, to the point that it was once recreated shot by shot in an epsiode of South Park.
The Alamo in Brooklyn will also screen The Princess Bride, featuring Andre the Giant as Fezzik, on 2/5.
