NXT UK EPISODE 24 REPORT: GALLUS VERSUS BRITISH STRONG STYLE, DAVE MASTIFF, AND MORE

We are in Liverpool, England and your announcers are Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness

Match Number One: Ligero versus Joseph Conners

They lock up and Conners backs Ligero into the corner. Ligero with a head scissors take down and a rollup for a near fall. Ligero with a drop kick to Conners. Ligero goes to the apron and he blocks a kick and connects with a forearm and chip. Conners sends Ligero into the ring post and Ligero goes to the floor. Conners with forearms to the back while Ligero hangs over the apron. Conners with a short arm clothesline for a near fall.

Conners with a kick to the head. Conners with a boot to the back. Conners with a slingshot suplex and he gets a near fall. Conners with an elbow to the top of the head and applies a half nelson and chin lock. Conners with a punch but he runs into chops from Ligero. Ligero with a back body drop to Conners. Ligero with clotheslines followed by a fireman’s carry slam and kick for a near fall. Ligero with a thrust kick and he goes for Sliced Bread #2 but Conners lands on his feet. Conners with a double stomp in the corner.

Conners puts Ligero’s head against the turnbuckle and then Ligero with an arm drag and DDT for the three count.

Winner: Ligero

We go to James Drake and Zack Gibson in the back and they are asked about having a chance to be the first NXT UK Tag Champs. James says they are undefeated and they deserve this shot and they deserve the championships. Zack says they are feeling confident. So confident that they have cleared a spot on their mantles for some shiny new titles. They are going to have an early celebration on Facebook Live while they discuss the pathetic downfall of Moustache Mountain and the rise of James Drake and Zack Gibson. They are the best tag team on this brand and the best tag team in the world.

We see Moustache Mountain and Gallus getting ready for their six man tag match later tonight.

We go to commercial.

We are back with comments from Dave Mastiff about his match on Saturday against Eddie Dennis. Eddie had something to prove. He wanted to prove he was the monster in NXT UK. When Eddie stood up to him, Eddie was defeated. Maybe Eddie could not swallow the fact that he is not good enough and had to make it personal. Dave says Eddie knows he cannot get the job done the right way so he wants to throw the rule book out the window. You may think Dave lacks killer instinct, but Eddie lacks more. He will prove that Eddie is good at taking a beating from someone like Dave Mastiff. No one has pushed him this far before. If you want to know what killer instinct is, you will find it on January 12th.

Match Number Two: Travis Banks versus Tyson T-Bone (with Saxon Huxley)

Huxley gets on the apron and it distracts Banks and Tyson with a punch and biel. Tyson with a kick and forearm to the back. Tyson with a kick to the midsection. Banks with punches and knees. Tyson pushes Banks away but Banks with a drop kick and a double stomp in the corner. Banks with kicks and Jordan Devlin’s music plays and Jordan comes out dressed like Travis.

Banks blocks a kick from Tyson and Travis kicks Tyson in the chest and then hits a super kick and a Shining Wizard. Huxley is knocked off the apron and Travis with a Slice of Heaven for the three count.

Winner: Travis Banks

After the match, Devlin attacks Banks but Banks with a super kick and Devlin avoids A Slice of Heaven and goes to the floor.

We have a video package for the NXT UK Women’s Championship Match between Rhea Ripley and Toni Storm.

Toni says she could have challenge for any of the titles but she wanted to prove that the NXT UK title is the best. She says it has been a journey to get to this point.

Rhea says Toni has no chance. Toni calls Rhea a bully. Toni says she cannot mess this up. It has taken everything to get here. Rhea says she will rip Toni Storm apart.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we are told that Travis Banks versus Jordan Devlin has been added to Takeover.

Match Number Three: Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang versus Trent Seven, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne

Bate and Joe start things off. They lock up and go to a stalemate. They lock up again and go to another stalemate. They go for a test of strength and Coffey gets the advantage but Bate with a bridge. Bate bridges when Joe gets a near fall. Bate with another bridge when Joe goes for a near fall. Bate keeps the bridge when Joe tries to use his body weight on Bate. Bate gets back to his feet and he ties to take Joe to the mat but Joe with a kick.

Joe with an arm bar and wrist lock. Bate with a drop kick and all six men get in the ring. The referee tries to regain control and it actually works. Wolfgang and Trent tag in. They lock up and Wolfgang with a side head lock. Wolfgang with a shoulder tackle but Trent with a cross body. All six get in the ring and the referee is still able to maintain control.
Mark and Dunne tag in. They lock up and Mark with a side head lock. Dunne with a clothesline and Wolfgang goes after Dunne and then the referee finally loses control. All six men battle in the ring. Wolfgang and Mark are sent to the floor and then Joe is back dropped over the top rope to join his fellow Gallus members.

Dunne with a drop toe hold to Mark and Dunne with a hammer lock and then he goes for the fingers. Dunne goes for a surfboard but Mark blocks it so Dunne stomps on the knees. Trent tags in. Trent slams Mark and gets a near fall. Bate tags in and Trent with a slam followed by a senton from Bate for a near fall. Bate with a side head lock. Bate knocks Woflgang off the apron and Mark with a suplex. Mark sends Bate into the turnbuckles and he tags Joe into the match. Joe sends Tyler into the turnbuckles and then he tags Wolfgang in and Wolfgang with kicks and punches.

Wolfgang with a knee to the chest and an Irish whip. Joe tags in and he punches Bate and Irish whips him into the corner. Joe with a double underhook on Bate and he lifts Tyler off the mat. Joe with an arm bar. Joe with a nerve hold on Bate. Bate with elbows to get way. Joe with an Irish whip that sends Bate sternum first into the turnbuckles. Woflgang tags in and he connects with a knee. Bate tries to get to his corner but Wolfgang stops him. Seven is able to tag in and he chops Wolfgang. Seven with a back body drop and he knocks Joe off the apron. Trent with a suicide dive onto Wolfgang. Trent with a running chop into the corner. Mark tries to interfere and Trent with a Dragon suplex. Mark hits a moonsault that accidentally hits Wolfgang when Trent moves.

Trent is kicked to the floor and Joe sends Trent into the ring steps while the referee deals with everyone in the ring. Wolfgang with a spear to Trent for a near fall. Mark tags in and he stomps on Trent’s chest. Joe tags in and he applies a front face lock. Joe with punches to Trent and Mark tags in. Mark with a front face lock. Mark with forearms and Joe tags in. Joe punches Trent while Wolfgang holds on to Trent in the corner. Joe with a front face lock.

Wolfgang tags in and he comes off the turnbuckles with a double sledge to the back. Joe tags in and goes up top. Trent fights off Wolfgang but Joe grabs Trent by the hair. Trent with a punch and he goes to the turnbuckles for a superplex and hits it. Dunne tags in and he hits an enzuigiri on Wolfgang. Dunne with a snap German suplex on Mark and hits a clothesline folowed by an X Plex. Dunne with a knee bar on Wolfgang. Wolfgang crawls to his corner and tags in Mark but Mark with an elbow drop and Dunne counters into a triangle and head scissors.

Wolfgang tags in and he goes for a swanton but Dunner catches him in a cross arm breaker. Dunne with a double wrist lock and body scissors. Wolfgang gets to his feet and he hits a suplex to escape. Bate tags in and so does Joe. Bate with European uppercuts and Bate with a knee. Bate with a corkscrew uppercut out of the turnbuckles. Bate with a running European uppercut. Joe with an Irish whip but he misses a boot. Joe with an elbow and he misses a double jump cross body. Bate with a standing shooting star press for a near fall.

Joe with a Giant swing but Bate with a victory roll for a near fall. Bate with an airplane spin to Joe. Bate with an accordion slam and Bate collapses from the number of rotations. Joe blocks Tyler Driver 97 and then Bate hits a jab and both men go down.

Mark and Trent tag in and Mark with an enzuigiri to the arm but Trent with a clothesline. Bate tags in and then Dunne tags in. They hit a power bomb and lungblower combination for a near fall. Trent is sent to the floor. Bate with a jab to Wolfgang and he goes to the floor. Bate with a suicide dive onto Wolfgang. Dunne with a kick and Joe grabs the title belt and distracts Dunne. Mark with a rollup for a near fall. Joe tags in and he hits a power bomb. Seven breaks up the cover. Trent sends Wolfgang to the floor and Bate hits a rebound clothesline to Mark. Joe clotheslines Tyler. Joe and Dunne with rapid fire punches to each other. They puase and Dunne with a forearm and then Dunne stands on the hands and stomps on them followed by a kick. Joe with a diving head butt to the midsection. Joe runs into a boot from Dunne and both men are down.

Dunne grabs the fingers of Joe and hyperextends them. Wolfgang makes the blind tag and Dunne hits Bitter End on Joe. Bate tags in and hits a rana on Wolfgang that sends him to the floor. Bate goes up top and he hits a corkscrew senton onto everyone. Bate and Wolfgang return to the ring and Joe makes the tag. Bate with a rolling kick to Wolfgang. Bate goes for Tyler Driver 97 on Joe but Joe with a back drop and Tyler lands on his feet. Bate goes for the rebound clothesline but Joe hits the clothesline first and gets the three count.

Winners: Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang

After the match, Joe Coffey and Pete Dunne stare each other down.
