WWE Smackdown Live kicked off its end of the WWE Holiday Tour at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont Horizon.
They announced early on that AJ Styles, set to main event against Daniel Bryan in a Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship would not be appearing due to illness.
The show opened with a live edition of MizTV with Mustafa Ali as the guest. This turned into a match that saw WWE Champion Daniel Bryan come out and interfere, causing a no contest. This led to the announcement of a Triple Threat Cage match for the title later in the show.
*Shelton Benjamin & Gallows & Anderson defeated Aiden English & The Colons. Sanity came out and challenged them, only for Benjamin, Gallows & Anderson to win another match.
*WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Bar defeated The Usos and New Day in a Triple Threat match. Lots of comedy.
*R-Truth & Carmella defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas & Zelina Vega.
*Rey Mysterio pinned Randy Orton in about a minute. The crowd booed the match being so short after.
*WWE United States Champion Rusev defeated Shinsuke Nakamura. This wasn't clicking.
*WWE Champion Daniel Bryan defeated Mustafa Ali and The Miz in a Steel Cage Match. The best thing on the show.
*Lana & Naomi defeated Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville. The IIconics were ring announcers.
*Jeff Hardy defeated Samoa Joe.
*WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. This was very good.
