WWE NXT UK REPORTS: THE WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT CONTINUES, MARK ANDREWS, JORDAN DEVLIN, LIGERO, AND MORE

Episode 9:

We are in Birmingham, England and your announcers are Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness.

Match Number One: Xia Brookside versus Rhea Ripley in an NXT UK Women’s Tournament First Round Match

Xia offers her hand and Rhea pie faces Xai and says she is not going to shake Xia’s hand. They lock up and Rhea sends Xia to the mat. Xia with a waist lock but Ripley with a hip lock take down. Xia with forearms but Rhea with an arm wringer to send her to the mat. Rhea with a key lock and wrist lock. Xia with a reversal. Rhea with an Irish whip but Rhea runs into a boot from Xia. Xia blocks a head scissors take down and turns it into a buckle bomb for a near fall.

Xia goes for the knee but Ripley with a forearm to the back. Xia with more forearms but Ripley with a forearm and a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall. Ripley with a forearm to the back and then she sends Xia face first into the mat. Ripley with a drop kick for a near fall. Ripley with a reverse Cloverleaf and Xia tries to get to the ropes but Ripley keeps Xia in the middle of the ring. Xia escapes and sends Ripley into the turnbuckles. Xia with a jaw breaker and bulldog. Brookside with a head scissors take down and a running double knee strike to the back. Brookside goes up top and Ripley catches Brookside and hits Riptide for the three count.

Winner: Rhea Ripley (Advances to face Dakota Kai)

After the match, Ripley kicks Xia in the midsection.

We see Toni Storm and Isla Dawn in the back and they will meet in the final quarterfinal match.

We go to commercial.

We are back with James Drake and Zack Gibson. James is asked why did he help Zack Gibson against Trent Seven. Gibson says they are trying to find out stories that are not true. Zack says James has been his friend for 13 years. The NXT UK Tag Titles are on the horizon and there is not combination that can compete with James Drake and Zack Gibson.

We take a look at what happened last week when Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang attacked Trent Seven and Tyler Bate. We see footage of what happened after the show when they continued to work over Trent Seven and his leg.

Match Number Two: Eddie Dennis versus Jack Starz

Dennis and Starz go face to middle of the chest and Starz pushes Dennis and Dennis pushes back. Starz with forearms but Dennis sends Starz into the ropes. Dennis with a forearm to the head followed by kicks. Dennis with a back elbow and he gets a near fall. Dennis chokes Starz and the referee warns Eddie. Starz goes for a cross body and Dennis catches Starz and hits a back breaker for a near fall.

Starz with a back elbow and boot to the head. Dennis grabs Starz by the throat but Starz with European uppercuts and a drop kick. Starz with a running European uppercut into the corner. Starz goes to the turnbuckles and he misses a missile drop kick when Dennis moves. Dennis with Severed Bridge followed by the neck stop driver for the three count.

Winner: Eddie Dennis

We go to commercial.

We are back with footage of a scuffle between Tyson T-Bone and Dave Mastiff.

WWE NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint announces that they will meet next week.

Match Number Three: Mark Andrews versus Mike Hitchman

They lock up and Hitchman with a waist lock take down and arm bar. Andrews tries for a reversal but Hitchman holds on to the wrist lock. Andrews uses the ropes for an arm drag to escape. Hitchman blocks an arm drag but Andrews with a series of arm drags followed by a head scissors take down. Andrews goes to the apron and goes for a moonsault off the apron but Hitchman moves. Hitchman sends Andrews face first onto the apron.

Hitchman with a back senton on the apron. Hitchman with a back senton onto Andrews for a near fall. Hitchman slaps Andrews and Andrews with chops and slaps of his own. Andrews with a thrust kick and regular kick. Andrews with an enzuigiri and Hitchman goes to the floor. Andrews with a moonsault off the apron onto Hitchman. Andrews with a springboard senton for a near fall. Andrews with chops but Hitchman with a head butt to stop a punch from Andrews. Hitchman and Andrews go for full nelsons and Hitchman with a half and half suplex followed by a shoulder into the corner and a cannonball for a near fall.

Hitchman goes to the turnbuckles but misses a frog splash. Andrews runs into a clothesline and Andrews gets flipped. Andrews with Stundog Millionaire and then he goes up top and hits a Shooting Star Press for the three count.

Winner: Mark Andrews

Eddie Dennis is in the back and he is asked about being undefeated. Eddie says Jack Starz did not even knock him off his feet. He says he has waited ten years for an opportunity like NXT UK.

Ashton Smith stops by and he says that he watched Eddie’s match and he says that he has some nice moves but he can handle him.

Eddie yells at Ashton for touching him and he will take care of him.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Four: Isla Dawn versus Toni Storm in an NXT UK Women’s Tournament First Round Match

Dawn with a drop kick as the bell rings and she punches and kicks Storm in the corner. Storm blocks an Irish whip but Dawn with a kick and Saito suplex. Dawn with a running double knee take down for a near fall. Dawn kicks Storm in the corner and pulls her into the center of the ring to get a near fall. Dawn gets a near fall.

Dawn with forearms to the back followed by a snap mare and double stomp to the midsection for a near fall. Storm with chops but Dawn with a forearm and kick. Storm with forearms but Dawn with a knee and running knee to the head for a near fall. Dawn with Rings of Saturn on Storm but Storm is able to get to the ropes to force a break.

Dawn pushes Storm down and she has some words for Storm. Storm with strikes and a back heel kick and a kick to send Dawn to the mat. Storm with a running hip strike in the corner. Dawn with a round kick to the temple. Storm blocks a kick and hits a German suplex. Storm with Storm Zero for the three count.

Winner: Toni Storm (Advances to face Jinny)

We go to commercial.

We are back and next week we will see the two semifinal matches in the NXT UK Women’s Championship Tournament.

Match Number Five: Ligero versus Jordan Devlin

They lock up and Devlin with a wrist lock. Ligero with a reversal. Devlin with a reversal but Ligero with an arm drag. Ligero gets a near fall. They go for a test of strength but Devlin with a kick. Ligero with a kick to the midsection. Ligero is sent to the apron and Ligero with a leg sweep. Ligero with a head scissors take down followed by a drop kick for a near fall.

Ligero with forearm followed by an Irish whip but Devlin floats over and hits a uranage and moonsault for a near fall. Devlin with a top wrist lock and then he works on Ligero’s neck. Devlin with a knee to the midsection followed by a running back elbow for a near fall. Devlin with a forearm and a double chop to the back. Devlin tries to get Ligero onto his shoulders but Ligero with elbows. Ligero counters a tilt-a-whirl back breaker and gets a lateral press. Ligero sends Devlin to the mat and hits a flying boot to the head.

Ligero with a forearm and he tries for a suplex but Devlin drops to his knees. Ligero avoids a suplex and hits a Code Red for a near fall. Devlin with a forearm and then he hits a running knee in the corner. Devlin pulls up Ligero and in one motion hits a Saito suplex for a near fall. Ligero holds on to the ropes when Devlin goes for a slingshot cutter. Ligero goes up top and Devlin rolls to the floor.

Ligero with a baseball slide to the floor and then he bounces off the ropes and hits a head scissors to the floor. Ligero goes up top and Devlin with an enzuigiri. Devlin is stopped by Ligero and Devlin is sent to the mat. Ligero with a splash but Devlin gets his knees up and gets a near fall. Devlin with a forearm and Ligero with a forearm of his own.

They continue the exchange until Devlin gets the advantage. Ligero with a knee. Devlin with a standing C4 for a near fall. Devlin gets Ligero on his shoulders but Ligero with a victory roll for a near fall. Ligero runs into a boot in the corner. Devlin goes up top and Ligero stops Devlin. Ligero goes for a reverse ruper rana but Devlin with an elbow and Ligero is caught in the tree of woe. Ligero with a spider German superplex and Ligero with a splash for a near fall.

Devlin goes to the apron and Ligero follows. They exchange forearms on the apron. Ligero with the advantage and Devlin goes to the ring steps. Ligero goes for a suplex off the ring steps but Devlin blocks it and drops Ligero onto the ring steps. Devlin with a moonsault to the floor and they return to the ring. Devlin with a knee and hits Emerald Frosion from a fireman’s carry position.

Winner: Jordan Devlin

After the match, Devlin calls out WWE NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne.
