WWE NXT UK REPORT: DUNNE VERSUS BURCH

We are in Cambridge, United Kingdom and your announcers are Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness.

Match Number One: Dave Mastiff versus Damien Weir

Weir goes for a cross body and bounces off Mastiff. Mastiff with a back senton. Mastiff with a delayed vertical suplex throw. Mastiff pulls Weir into the corner. Mastiff wishes Weir luck before Mastiff hits a cannonball for the three count.

Winner: Dave Mastiff

We take a look back at what happened after the main event of last week’s show when Wolfgang appeared to come out to help Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster, only to join forces with the Coffey Brothers.

We have a video feature on Ligero. He says what makes him unique is his mask. He wore it to stand out from the others.

We have a video feature on James Drake and he says he traveled around the world to prove that he is an elite sports entertainer. You are looking at a different man now. He is more focused and if you get in front of him, he will go through you.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a video feature on Jinny.

Danny Burch is in the back and he is getting ready for his match against Pete Dunne.

Match Number Two: Ligero versus James Drake

They lock up and Ligero backs Drake into the ropes and Ligero with a clean break. They lock up again and Drake with a side head lock and take down. They both get back to their feet and Drake backs Ligero into the ropes. Drake with a punch on the break and he follows with forearms in the corner. Ligero with forearms and chops.

Drake with an Irish whip and Ligero floats over and hits a jumping leg lariat and gets a near fall. Drake with a waist lock and Ligero with a standing switch. Drake with a standing switch of his own. Ligero with a back elbow and Drake sends Ligero hard into the ropes and Drake focuses on the ribs with punches. Drake chokes Ligero in the corner and the referee warns Drake.

Ligero with punches. Drake with a snap mare and a boot to the head. Drake gets a near fall. Drake with a cobra clutch on Ligero. Drake with a knee to the midsection but Ligero sends Drake to the floor when Ligero side steps Drake. Ligero with a forearm and back heel kick. Ligero with Code Red for a near fall. Ligero kicks Drake in the head and Ligero gets a near fall.

Ligero goes to the turnbuckles and he leaps over Drake but Drake trips Ligero. Drake with a running drop kick into the corner for a near fall. Ligero with punches to the midsection but he has a kick blocked. Drake goes for a DDT but Ligero with a back body drop and a springboard tornado DDT for the three count.

Winner: Ligero

Toni Storm is in the back and he is asked about his match next week against Dakota Kai. Toni says her preparations do not change. She goes in to win. Toni says she heard that Dakota wants to be the first UK Women’s Champion but that will not happen.

Dakota Kai enters and she tells Toni that she respects everything Toni did. Dakota says that she meant that she will kick the head off anyone who gets in her way. Toni might be at her best, but Dakota says she will be a little better.

Toni says may the best woman win and they shake hands.

Ashton Smith says there is no obstacle he will overcome and no one that he cannot beat.

We go to commercial.

We are back with comments from Zack Gibson. He says he will be back next week when he faces Amir Jordan. Amir is a great competitor but he will not derail Zack Gibson, the man who will be number one in the UK.

Match Number Three: Ashton Smith versus

Before Smith makes his way to the ring, he is attacked by Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey, and Wolfgang. Smith is thrown to the back by Wolfgang.

They make their way to the ring.

Joe says Royal Albert Hall. Ever since then, they have been imposing their will on anyone and everyone. Joe says it does not matter because no one likes them and they don’t care. He says he had an epiphany in Royal Albert Hall. He likes to associate with people of the same mentality, whether it is blood or whether it is someone who takes pride in doing things their way. The whole mantra for this brand is ‘We Are NXT UK’. Joe says he sees NXT UK as a hierarchy. If you are not on their level, they will expose your weakness. There is no more British Strong Style. There will be no more strong boys.

Joe says he does not care what anything thinks. This is a pack mentality. Divide and conquer. This is their Kingdom.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster are outside Johnny Saint’s office. Mark says they have had problems with the Coffeys and they want to get a piece of The Coffeys and Wolfgang. Ashton Smith says if they are going to deal with the Coffeys and Wolfgang, he will join them. They enter Johnny’s office.

Match Number Three: Sid Scala versus Eddie Dennis

Dennis with a kick to the midsection and to the head. Scala with forearms and kicks to the leg and he tries for a take down but Dennis stays on his feet and connects with a forearm. Dennis with a boot and punches to Scala for a near fall. Dennis with a back elbow and he gets a near fall. Dennis with a cravate and knees to the head. Dennis with a snap mare and knee drop.

Dennis gets a near fall. Dennis picks up Scala and Scala slaps Dennis and Scala realizes he made a mistake. Scala goes up top for a cross body and he gets a near fall. Scala with punches but Deniis pushes Scala away. Dennis with Seven Bridge into the turnbuckles. Dennis with a reverse side driver for the three count.

Winner: Eddie Dennis

Pete Dunne walks through the back as we go to commercial.

We are back and we are told that Mark Andrews, Flash Morgan Webster, and Ashton Smith will face Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey, and Wolfgang next week.

Match Number Four: Danny Burch versus Pete Dunne for the NXT UK Championship

They lock up and Dunne with a take down but Burch with a hammer lock. Dunne with a drop toe hold and Burch gets to the ropes. Dunne with a kick to Burch before making the break. They lock up again and Burch with a snap mare and chop to the back of the neck. Burch tells Dunne to come at him. They go for a Greco Roman knuckle lock and Dunne stands on one of the hands and pulls the other arm back and adujusts the fingers.

Dunne with a hammer lock using the leg and he pulls back the other hand and tries to hyperextend the hand. Dunne goes to the other hand and he twists the fingers and stands on Burch’s head. Burch with a back drop take down and Burch goes for the wrist but Dunne gets to the ropes. Dunne with a forearm that knocks Burch to the mat. Dunne returns to the left wristbut Burch with a leg sweep and kick to the left arm. Burch with a side head lock.

Dunne goes for a leap frog but Burch with a single leg take down and Dunne gets to the ropes. Dunne grabs the leg and turns the ankle as he pulls Burch to the floor. Dunne with an X Plex on the apron. Dunne returns to the ring and the referee starts to count Burch on the floor. Burch returns to the ring and Dunne returns to the left hand. Dunne puts the arm on the mat and kicks at the left elbow. Dunne with a snap mare and he drops a knee on the arm. Dunne with a wrist lock using the leg. Dunne stomps on the head.

Dunne kicks Burch in the head and continues with the kicks. Burch with chops to Dunne followed by a European uppercut and running European uppercut. Burch with a kick and then he goes to the turnbuckles. Burch with a missile drop kick and both men are down. Burch is up first and he sets for a power bomb and hits it. Burch rolls Dunne through and connects with a knee to the head for a near fall. Burch with a European uppercut and forearm but Dunne with a forearm that knocks Burch into the corner. Burch with an Irish whip and Dunne flips out of the corner. Dunne with a boot to the injured arm as he comes off the turnbuckles.

Burch goes to the floor and Dunne stomps on the elbow. Dunne slams the injured hand on the ring steps and then Dunne tries to stomp on the hand but Burch moves and Burch trips Dunne and hits a German suplex on the floor. The referee makes his count and both get back in before the ten count. Dunne goes for a triangle and locks it in. Burch picks up Dunne and hits a one arm buckle bomb.

Burch grabs Dunne before Pete can get to the floor. Burch pulls Dunne onto the turnbuckles and Burch goes for a German superplex but Dunne blocks it. Dunne pulls at the fingers and slams the elbow onto Dunne’s shoulder. Burch hits the German superplex but both men are down. Burch gets a near fall. Both get back to their fet at the same time. They charge at each other and bo for clotheslines and then follow with punches. Dunne with an enzuigiri and hits an X Plex into an arm bar. Burch with a crossface but Dunne rolls through and gets a near fall with a rollup. Dunne lands on his feet on a German suplex and kicks Burch in the back. Burch with a clothesline and both men are down again.

Burch is back to his feet first and Dunne kicks Burch in the head and then he stomps on Burch’s head. Burch with a head butt and he hits the hanging DDT but Dunne kicks out. Burch with the crossface and Dunne reaches for the ropes but Burch rolls into the center of the ring. Dunne pulls at the fingers to try to get out of the hold but Burch reapplies the crossface. Dunne almost taps but Dunne goes for the nose and rakes the face. Dunne with Bitter End but Burch kicks out.

Dunne with a triangle and he focuses on the injured left arm. Dunne pulls at the fingers and hyperextends them and it forces Burch to tap out.

Winner: Pete Dunne (Retains Championship
