WWE released another fan survey today, seeking feedback on a potential new tier of the WWE Network, which would be priced at $15. As we have previously reported on PWInsider.com, the company is targeting 2019 to finally launch additional priced tiers beyond the current $9.99 price point and is currently re-evaluating all original programming content.
The survey sought feedback on the tier and potential additional content that would come with it, including a monthly Saturday Night’s Main Event broadcast for that tier, potentially airing WWE live events (house shows) and airing live PROGRESS and ICW events as well as access to those companies’ tape libraries.
The potential tier could also offer subscribers free shipping on WWE merchandise orders (think Amazon Prime), early access to tickets (think ROH Honorclub), early entry to live events, alternate commentary and audio, downloading of content to watch offline, voting for the WWE Hall of Fame, additional NXT events for that tier and early access to help test potential new WWE programming and other potential perks.
The survey also featured different independent promotions, asking fans to rank them based on their interest in watching them on the WWE Network. Based on feedback we have gotten from fans, different surveys featured different companies. Some surveys listed Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground while others listed Ring of Honor and CHIKARA. All of the surveys listed EVOLVE, which WWE has a working relationship with.
