Tomorrow's WWE NXT live event in Jacksonville, Florida has been postponed until 11/30 due to the effects of Hurricane Michael. There is no word yet on the other NXT live events this weekend in the Sunshine State.
Last week, Mike Johnson reported that WWE was deep in strategy mode regarding future plans for the WWE Network. It is interesting to note that over the past few weeks, WWE have posted new job listings relating to WWE network and other digital platforms, including the current jobs still listed:
Digital Senior Associate Producer
"WWE is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Digital Senior Associate Producer to work within WWE’s ever-growing Digital Video department. This position will create, produce, and edit short-form digital video content to be published across our WWE Digital platforms. As a Digital Senior Associate Producer, this creative, driven, and self-sufficient team member will also be responsible for advancing and guiding our Production Assistants within Digital Video."
Metadata Specialist
The Metadata Specialist is responsible for processing and assigning critical metadata to WWE video content on WWE Network and other digital platforms. In addition, the Metadata Specialist will support WWE’s video management organization methods and companywide metadata systems."
Video Asset Assistant
"WWE is seeking an enthusiastic Video Asset Assistant to support WWE’s Advanced Media Group. This person will be responsible for preparing and transferring video files for WWE Network and other digital platforms, ensuring precise specifications are met. In addition, this position will gain hands-on experience in basic production of digital video content."
Content Curation Editor
"WWE seeks a Content Curation Editor savvy in sports-entertainment to execute programming plans for content to be distributed across WWE Network, WWE.com and other related properties. The ideal candidate for this role should have an appreciation for how users consume content (especially video) across multiple platforms, and should be comfortable multitasking in a busy environment"
VP, Media Operations
"The Vice President, Media Operations will direct the strategic governance of WWE’s media-based platforms, focused on the protocol and programming of WWE-owned-and-operated and external partner platforms. This includes WWE’s growing OTT digital experience (WWE Network) and all its functional aspects such as metadata assignment, curation and publishing."
Director, Digital Products
"WWE is looking for a Digital Product Manager to help drive WWE Network’s product vision and execution across all streaming media devices, gaming consoles, internet-connected TVs, phones, tablets and web. This position will work closely with other cross-functional teams to take projects from conception, through brainstorming, requirements gathering, design, development, testing and release."
VP, Content Marketing
"The Vice President, Content Marketing is responsible for the strategy, development and execution of multiplatform marketing campaigns leveraging content as the key asset. Seated at a cross-section of digital/social content and marketing teams, this integral role will forge new pathways for building awareness and driving conversion within WWE’s content ecosystem, especially its OTT business."
Network Coordinator
"WWE is seeking a detail- and deadline-driven Network Operations Coordinator to assist with the communication, collection, creation and organization around assets for WWE’s OTT video platform, WWE Network. This role will ensure all specification requirements are met to maintain the integrity and quality of all video content on the platform."
