BRIE NEEDS TO GET TO THE PERFORMANCE CENTER, SEPARATING EVOLUTION FROM SAUDI ARABIA, HURTING STROWMAN AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2018-10-02 10:00:00

Between the stiff kicks to Liv Morgan, and the two botched suicide dives in the same match, should there be a concern that Brie Bella has been a little reckless in the ring since her return?

I don’t see it as her being reckless.  I think it is more a case of rust and her finding her timing in the ring again after being out of action for a while, plus having a child.  I don’t think she is out to hurt anyone, but the fact is that her timing has been off since her return.  She needs to either go down to the Performance Center and work on getting her timing back. or do house shows.  Or both.  It’s not fair to the women she works with and it’s becoming a pattern with her.  She needs to put in the work because it’s obvious that her timing won’t just magically come back.

What are your thoughts on WWE running the Saudi Arabia event, where women are forbidden to compete on the card, days after running the Evolution show where women's empowerment is a major highlight?

I see the two as being completely unrelated.  WWE is indeed empowering and supporting women with the Evolution PPV.  They are also making a prudent business move by running a show that will pay them a lot of money in Saudi Arabia while following the mores and customs of that country.  What a lot of people don’t seem to understand is that WWE is a business and they are out to maximize the value of the company to their stockholders.  People also don’t realize that when they bring their product to another country, they have to respect the rules that the country has in place.

Speaking of the Saudi Arabia show, how much stroke does the Prince have over influencing the booking of the show?  For example, if he specifically asks for someone like Undertaker, Lesnar, or even Hulk Hogan, would WWE have to deliver that person?

If you mean booking from a storyline perspective, little to none.  If you mean requesting stars, he has a solid amount of influence.

I never thought it happen but after Hell in a Cell WWE has made me not care about Strowman. They had a monster who could have made them money and now they destroyed him. They made him look dumb by telling Reigns he was cashing in at hell in a cell and the giving the briefcase to Corbin to then destroying reigns 2 weeks in a row and failing to cash in. I’ve almost given up on McMahon at this point and WWE in general.

Therein lies the problem.  When they make someone super strong, but they aren’t ready to push him, they do things like this.  I don’t think that they have killed Strowman, but they haven’t done him any booking favors either.

What is the origin behind the name of the Meltzer Driver move that the Young Bucks perform?  Obviously it is named after Dave Meltzer, but why?

They have said they decided to do it after Matt came up with the idea and it popped Nick, so they went with it.
