WWE MAE YOUNG CLASSIC REPORT: THE SECOND ROUND IS SET: IO SHIRAI, RACHEL EVERS, HIROYO MATSUMOTO, NICOLE MATTHEWS, AND MORE

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Michael Cole, Renee Young, and Beth Phoenix.

Rachel Evers says she will not lose her focus this year.  Last year gave her a new level of preparation.

Hiroyo Matsumoto will destroy you.  Her elbow, lariat, and body attack.  She will destroy everything.  Once you see her in the ring, you will never forget her.  

Match Number One:  Rachel Evers versus Hiroyo Matsumoto in a First Round Tournament Match

They lock up and go to a stalemate.  They criss cross in the ring and Evers with a shoulder tackle.  Matsumoto with a shoulder tackle and neither goes down.  Matsumoto finally takes Evers down with a shoulder tackle.  Evers with a drop kick for a near fall.  Evers with a gutwrench but Matsumoto blocks it.  Evers hits the gutwrench suplex for a near fall.  Evers with a boot to the head but Matsumoto goes to the apron and drops Evers on the top rope.

Matsumoto goes up top and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall.  Matsumoto tosses Evers across the ring by the hair.  Matsumoto with a snap mare and elbow to the top of the head.  Matsumoto with a rear chin lock.  Matsumoto with chops.  Matsumoto pushes Evers but Evers gets a boot up and Evers is put in the ropes.  Matsumoto with kicks to the midsection.  Matsumoto with a running knee strike to the midsection and then she goes to the turnbuckles for a double knee drop and she gets a near fall.

Evers with an elbow to escape a Saito suplex.  Matsumoto misses a clothesline and Evers with a spinebuster.  Evers with a forearm but Matsumoto fires back.  They continue the exchange with Evers getting the advantage.  Matsumoto knocks Evers to her knee.  Evers with a bicycle kick and cutter.  Evers with a back senton for a near fall.  Evers sets for a power bomb but Matsumoto with a back body drop.  Evers avoids a splash and hits an STO.  Evers with a springboard leg drop for a near fall.

Evers with punches but Matsumoto blocks a discus forearm.  Matsumoto with slaps but Evers fires back.  Matsumoto with a clothesline and she gets a near fall.  Evers with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Matsumoto with a back elbow and German suplex but Evers pops up.  Evers with a boot but Matsumoto with a clothesline.  Matsumoto sets for a power bomb but Evers counters and Matsumoto counters with a sunset flip into a wrist clutch power bomb.  Matsumoto with a Saito suplex for the three count.

Winner:  Hiroyo Matsumoto (advances to face Toni Storm)

Taynara Conti says she was pretty new last year.  She waits for the right time and she does what she needs to do.  She cannot wait to show everyone why she is the real black belt in this division.

Jessie Elaban says her in ring style is an extension of her goofy and clumsy selt.  She does not do a lot of technical things.  She throws her body at things.  It means a lot to compete in this tournament.

Match Number Two:  Jessie Elaban versus Taynara Conti in a First Round Tournament Match

They lock up and they have a test of strength and Conti with a wrist lock take down.  Conti with another take down.  Conti with a waist lock.  Elaban with a standing switch but Conti with a standing switch of her own.  Elaban with a back kick and another kick for a near fall.  Elaban is sent into the ropes on an attempted splash in the corner.  Conti works on the arm.  Conti with an STO for a near fall.  Conti with another near fall.  Conti stomps on the hand and works on the elbow.  Conti with an arm bar and she works on the wrist.

Conti pulls Elaban to the mat by the hair and then maintains the arm bar.  Conti works on the wrist but Elaban with a rollup for a near fall.  Elaban with forearms but Conti with a kick and arm bar.  She pulls the fingers along the rope. Conti with a kick to the ribs.  Conti with kicks in the corner.  Conti tries to pull Elaban out of the corner but Elaban holds the ropes.  Conti with a kick but a second kick has Conti hit the turnbuckle.  Elaban with a slingshot that sends Conti face first into the mat.  Elaban with drop kicks and a flying forearm into the corner.

Elaban with an axe kick to the back for a near fall.  Elaban goes for a suplex but Conti with a judo throw side slam for the three count.

Winner:  Taynara Conti (advances to face Lacey Lane)

Isla Dawn says the drive and determination in her translates into the ring.  She is ready to go in there an fight.  She is not going to give up because something is uncomfortable.

Nicole Matthews says you know what she can do if you have seen her wrestle.  She does not care who is in front of her, she can throw anyone around and she can take short cuts.  She does not care if she hurts her opponent.  She was an alternate last year.  You were not showing the best since she was not in last year's tournament.  How can you have a Women's Revolution without Nicole Matthews.

Match Number Three:  Isla Dawn versus Nicole Matthews in a First Round Tournament Match

They lock up and Matthews backs Dawn into the corner and Matthews pats Dawn on the top of the head.  They lock up and Dawn backs Matthews into the corner and she pats Matthews on the break.  They lock up again and Dawn with a wrist lock.  Matthews sends Dawn to the mat but Dawn trips Matthews and hits a double stomp followed by a kick to the back and chest.  Dawn with meteora for a near fall.  Dawn is sent into the turnbuckles but Matthews and then she hits a neck breaker.

Matthews gets a near fall.  Matthews with a kick to the back.  Matthews with another kick to the back.  Matthews with a back breaker and she stretches Dawn over her knee and chops Dawn.  Dawn with a punch to the midsection but Matthews punches back.  Matthews with forearms and a chop in the corner.  Matthews misses a forearm in the corner and Dawn with an uppercut.  Matthews with a forearm for a near fall.  Matthews puts Dawn in the ropes and she kicks Isla in the chest.  

Matthews gets a near fall.  Matthews with elbows to the collarbone and then she connects with a forearm before trying to stretch Dawn.  Matthews with a knee to the midsection followed by a kick.  Dawn with a forearm but Matthews with another kick.  Dawn with forearms and kicks.  Dawn with a running knee to the head.  Matthews holds on to the ropes to stop an Irish whip attempt but Dawn with a kick and Saito suplex.  Dawn with a round kick to the head and then she hits a fisherman's suplex for a near fall.  Matthews with a rolling elbow and then she goes for a suplex but Dawn blocks it.  Dawn with a forearm and Burning Hammer for a near fall.  

Dawn with a waist lock and she tries for a half nelson German suplex but Matthews blocks it.  Dawn with a jumping knee but Matthews with a clothesline.  Matthews with a Liontamer and Dawn taps out.

Winner:  Nicole Matthews (advances to face Tegan Nox)

Xia Brookside says to be part of this tournament at age 19 is a big deal.  Her father is Robbie Brookside and she says she needs to prove herself more since she is a second generation wrestler.  She gets to showcase herself and everyone will know who she is.

Io Shirai says her style is high flying and strong style.  Rey Mysterio is her favorite wrestler.  She wants to prove that women's wrestling is not less than men's wrestling but equal.  She says she will lead the entire division.  She was number one in Japan so she will win.

Match Number Four:  Io Shirai versus Xia Brookside in a First Round Tournament Match

Brookside with forearms as the bell rings to try to get the early advatnage.  Brookside with a head scissors take down but Shirai lands on her feet.  Shirai with a boot to the midsection.  Shirai sends Brookside into the turnbuckles.  Shirai with an elbow in the corner.  Shirai with a forearm and then she kicks Brookside.  Shirai chokes Brookside in the corner and then hits a double knee drop.  Shirai gets a near fall.  Shirai with a cross face on Brookside but Brookside escapes.  Shirai with a kick to the temple.

Brookside blocks a kick from Shirai and escapes a Tiger Driver.  Brookside with a flying hair take down.  Brookside misses a round kick and Shirai with an uppercut.  Shirai with a running double knee strike in the corner and then goes to the turnbuckles and hits a moonsault for the three count.

Winner:  Io Shirai (advances to face Zeuxis)

Next week, the second round starts.
