By Mike Johnson on 2018-09-20 00:30:00

A big congratulations to former ECW and WWE developmental star William "Chilly Willy" Jones, who got engaged this week.  Jones, who received a Purple Heart during his time deployed in Iraq for the United States Army, now lives in The Philllipines, where he still trains professional wrestlers and runs a promotion there titled Wrestling Entertainment 3000.

The Expo Lucha convention, which took place last month in Las Vegas, is eyeing a second gathering in San Diego in August 2019.

For those have asked about ratings for the debut episode of Ring Warriors on WGN America, since the series is paid content on the cable network, those ratings are not made available through the usual means.

Outlaw Wrestling has a live event tonight, Thursday 9/20 in Brooklyn, NY at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (275 N 8th Street in Williamsburg) featuring Shlak vs. PCO, Alex Reynolds with Rick Cataldo vs. Homicide, Willow Nightingale vs. Penelope Ford, Bull James vs. Danny Demanto, Orange Cassidy vs. Bill Carr, The REP vs Rex Lawless & Jaden Valo, Casanova Valentine vs CPA and more.  The promotion will be running several events in Brooklyn this fall with a 10/13 date featuring Billy Gunn, Mike Verna, Spirit Squad, Bull James and more at The Most Precious Blood Youth Center on Saturday 10/13 and a 11/1 return to Williamsburg on 11/1.  For more details, visit WrestlingOutlaws.net.  Tickets will be available at the door tonight.

The Green Bay Gazette featured a piece on former WCW World Champion Lex Luger and how he would have loved to have played for the Green Bay Packers at this link.  Thanks to Mike Informer.

WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana will be appearing next Saturday at the 9/29 New York Wrestling Connection return to the NYWC Sportatorium in Deer Park, Long Island.  The show will be headlined by NYWC Champion King Mega vs. Rex Lawless and will also feature the return of The Big O, who was originally seen in Zack Ryder's YouTube series before training as a pro wrestler and working here on a regular basis.  Brandon Watts (extremely underrated and deserving of keeping an eye on), Bull Dempsey and more will appear.  For more visit www.NYWCWrestling.com.

We noted yesterday that former WWE star Brodus Clay will be appearing on next week's episode of The Purge.  The show was filmed in Louisiana, so some of the stunts on the series were performed by Luke Hawx.

Upcoming episodes of the Extreme Legends PPV series will be The Public Enemy in October and an episode dedicated to Kevin Sullivan and Terry Funk in November.
