FOX EXEC PRAISES WWE, CATANZARO IMPRESSES IN WWE TV DEBUT AND MORE WWE NEWS

FOX's CFO John Nallen praised the forthcoming debut of WWE Smackdown during an investor's call today, commenting, "It’s a 50 to 52-week-a-year sport with no repeats. It’s a new novella every week.  For us to have that kind of appointment programming, that audience, every week of the year, is a really unique opportunity for us.”   Smackdown debuts on FOX in October 2019.  For more, click here.

American Ninja Warrior star Kacy Catanzaro debuted on last night's episode of the Mae Young Classic facing Reina Gonzales.  Unless something unforesee happens, Catanzaro is going to be a star.  Athletically, she pulled out some great, unique offensive manuevers using her gymnastics and ANW background and all of it looked good.  She came off extremely likeable as a babyface.  Her opponent, Reina Gonzales was absolutely awesome as the Goliath to Kacy's David as well, looking great in everything that she did and reminded me of Awesome Kong in the best scene in that she looked and came off like a real threat in the ring. Both of these talents are well worth keeping an eye on.

Set for next week's edition on the Mae Young Classic are first round matches featuring Kaitlyn vs. Kavita Devi, Toni Storm vs. Jinny, Xia Li vs. Karen Q and Mia Yim vs. Alysin Kay.
