DOES TRUMP STILL OWN RAW?, CODY VS. ALDIS, HILLBILLY JIM & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2018-09-01 10:00:00

Back when WWE stocks went public, they did a storyline where Donald Trump took over Monday Night Raw. I don't remember them explaning how Vince got his show back. Does Donald Trump still own Raw?

There was actually a really bad in-ring segment where Vince McMahon bought back Raw for double what he sold it to Trump.  It was really clunky and didn't make much sense, but no, Trump doesn't "own it."

I just subscribed to Sirius and remember Hillbilly Jim had a show there.  Where can I find it.

Jim's Moonshine Matinee show airs on Outlaw Country Weekly.  For more details, click here.

Cody vs. Aldis tonight, who wins?

It has to be Cody in my mind, or else we are doing a really bad bait and switch, right?

Why do people care about the NWA in 2018 anyway?

They care because Billy Corgan and Dave Lagana have doine an admirable job of giving people a reason to care about the title for the first time in decades.  They went from nothing to the title being defended all over the world and almost 50,000 people following it on social media.  That's a pretty solid first year of ownership if you ask me.

I saw that there was a Doink advertised for conventions this year.  Isn't that an obviously fake performer given that Matt Borne is dead?

No, several people played the role beyond Borne.  The Doink in question here is Ray Apollo, who played Doink for WWF from November 1993 until the end of the character's WWF run.  He has every right to appear as the character.
