Hyatt lives in Florida and is very active on Twitter. She’s also very involved in doing civil war reenactments.
I saw that most of the new Impact talents are signing multi-year deals. Is this a sign the company is turning things around?
It may be. We have heard that while Impact isn’t in the black under Anthem yet, this year, they have really cut a lot of the bleeding from year one under Anthem's ownership. The hope is that next year, they will end up on the right side of the charts financially.
How does the loss of the Sinclair-Tribune deal hurt ROH?
While it’s unfortunate that ROH won’t be on national TV through that merger, ROH will just move forward on their current plans and strategies. Selling out MSG isn’t a sign they are hurting.
Why doesn’t ROH just get back on Destination America?
I don’t believe the network has any interest in wrestling. One of the most interesting theories I heard about that ROH run is that the network added it to dilute Impact so that Impact didn’t hit the needed numbers required to automatically renew their contract with the network, which they were unhappy with aspect of Impact and had buyer’s remorse. Once they got out of that deal, they had no need for ROH. It makes you think, but no one knows for sure.
Does Dixie Carter attend the NWA anniversary show? She was a big part of NWA when it was part of TNA.
With her past issues with Billy Corgan AND Jeff Jarrett, I really would not suggest that idea to her. She's been at the last few ROH events in Nashville and if she wants to be around wrestling, might be well advised to wait for them to return.
