Mile 22, the new action film starring Mark Wahlburg, Lauren Cohan and Ronda Rousey looks to land at number three at the box office in its opening weekend, bringing in an estimated $13,620,000, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. The film has also brought in an estimated $538,000 thus far internationally.
In the film, CIA operative James Silva (Walhburg) leads a small but lethal paramilitary team on an urgent and dangerous mission, transporting a foreign intelligence asset from an American embassy in Southeast Asia to an airfield for extraction -- a distance of 22 miles. The team finds themselves in a race against time as the city's military, police and street gangs close in to take the asset.
Rousey portrays Sam Snow, a member of Wahlburgs's paramilitary team.
The film opened in 3,520 theaters in the United States on Friday.
