By Mike Johnson on 2018-08-18 16:34:00

Notes from today's Bruce Prichard and Conrad Thompson podcast at the Gramercy Theater in NYC:

*Joel Gertner introduced them to the stage.

*They opened up with Bruce telling stories about Vince McMahon as a parent including a story about Vince holding a knife to Shane McMahon's ear after Shane, who had been bothering his dad for an earing decided to wear a fake one to mess with his father.  Conrad quipped this all happened last week.

*They discussed traveling with the McMahons before Prichard discussed what it was like writing TV for Vince McMahon for the first time after he and Joel Watts were hired by the company. They showed up in suits and ties only to find Howard Finkel and Pat Patterson l, hair disheveled in zubas pants and t-shirts.

*Bruce aaid his favorite talent in MLW currently is Tom Lawlor.

*Former WWE writer Jenn Bloodsworth joined the pair on stage.  She told a funny story about Ric Flair.

*Charlotte Flair joined Bruce and Conrad on stage.  She admitted she was nervous for her Summerslam PPV match and worked hard to get in ring shape for the match.  She joked that you hit your best friends harder.  She didn't know she was going to even have an opportunity to work the PPV.  She said she and Becky are Thelma and Louise and is looking forward to sharing the stage with her.  Prichard said the women today are stars who deserve to be on the show.  Conrad pitched Flair vs. Ronda Rousey as a Wrestlemania main event.

*WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry joined Conrad and Bruce on stage.  The Mae Young birthing the hand vignette was "All Vince" and said he still wonders WTF.  He said Vince is the only person who you can walk into a room with a plan of what you want to say but when you walk out you realize you haven't said anything you planned and you are still in the same predicament only now you feel good about it.

*Henry told a great story about Mae Young deciding she wanted to see "what he was playing with" when they filmed the Valentine's Dinner vignettes and he was wearing boxers.   Since she was not successful, she instead pulled out his guitar. Bruce was the Producer and was losing his mind and almost died he was laughing so hard.

*The night they filmed the "Sweet Jesus she has a penis" vignette, Henry's mother was there and Bruce was forced to explain to his mother what the gimmick and vignette was.  She kept saying, "My baby is going to do what?" Henry said his mom beat him with a belt over it.

*Henry told the story of WWE's first trip to Iraq, traveling on the cargo plane.  Vince decided he was going to get lit and announced.  Vince was blessing a sleeping Henry with wine.  Shelton Benjamin realized Henry was getting pissed and was trying to get Vince to stop.

*Former WWE Head Writer and head of Seven Bucks Production, Bryan Gewirtz joined them on stage after Henry mentioned he once wanted to best him up.  There had been something that didn't go well.  Bryan went to console him but Henry instead told him to look at his computer and it was two Japanese women going at it as hard as they can.  Henry joked that he loved New Japan.  Henry then told a story of Jim Ross fining him $2000 for watching a similar film on a plane.  The headphones weren't all the way in so everyone around him could hear it.

*Gerwitz then buried Bruce saying he got all this credit for doing Vince pre-tapes but that would change immediately when it was time to tape as Vince would take over.  It was the most "heatless"position in the world.  They told the story of filming a vignette with Donald Trump and The Boogeyman. Bruce left Bryan alone to explain to Trump the vignette and that he was to no sell the Boogeyman. Trump was practicing the line "I'll give you worms" which Bryan still imitates walking around in his apartment to this day.  Trump forgot his line the first time and the second time nailed it.  Trump didnt like his hair in the second one and demanded they used the first one.  Vince is told and he said..there's no ending but Trump wants that one.  They played the no ending one at Mania and put the better one on the DVD realizing Trump will never watch it.

*They told the story of Linda McMahon taking the mic away from Michael Hayes at Stephanie and HHH's wedding.  They told some Hayes stories under the guise of what does he have to do actually get in trouble.

*They brought JBL out to join the discussion.  He buried Bruce for the $700 dinner tab at Scores the night before.  He told a story of "accidentally" hitting Henry's car in Canada as a rib.  Henry described it as seeing the face of Satan hitting him at 80 miles an hour.    JBL joked thank God he was drunk.  Henry joked he was glad the car was in D'Lo Brown's name.

*This led to some Roddy Piper stories, then some drunken JBL shenanigans, road and travel stories, Vince McMahon losing his gasket on Michael Cole as they were doing commentary while taping Smackdown and a story about a sleeping Phineas Godwin in the locker room before Prichard recounted a story about seeing Vince McMahon dancing.

*They closed with Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins joining Bruce to sing "Be With My Baby Tonight."
