Why does the WWE brag at every moment that they listened to the WWE Universe about the women's revolution with the hashtag give divas a chance.  They always say that they listened to the WWE Universe and that caused a change in the company.  Now, why doesn't that same thinking apply to Roman Reigns?  The Universe is saying something they don't like just like they didn't want the women to be held back.  Why is it different?

The Universe ISN’T saying that, a loud subset of the Universe is.  It’s clear as day when you watch the TV that you hear far more booing of Reigns than you see.A lot of fans cheer Reigns.  With that said, even if what you said was true, just because they listened to the fans on one idea doesn’t mean that they have to listen to all of them.

Hello again guys, great work on the site as always.  I was just reading your response to the question "Is there anything WWE can do to fix the disconnect, dissenting fans?" My kids thing is this; I would never go to a show and disrespect the workers the way some do, but Vince has be putting on this poor current product for years now and as a lifelong wrestling fan I completely understand the frustration.  For me, even though the main roster stuff is often very poor from a creative standpoint I still follow it because of that lifelong love I've had for wrestling.  Trust I've considered abandoning it but I've never been fully able to.  I think that's the case for a lot of fans.  Vince isn't dumb so he has to know what things like logic and continuity are.  He blatantly ignores those things and it's never made sense to me.  For example, if the show Breaking Bad had ignored those areas it wouldn't be the beloved show it is. It would have been awful.  So I think the real question is why is Vince so content with putting on this illogical poorly written product? Money? In my opinion the fix is easy.  You simply book like HHH does NXT, but with the main roster bells and whistles.

When he said “I know what you want better than you do” he meant it.  He knows what he wants his product to be and he goes with his vision.  Given how successful he has been, there is no reason for him to change anything.  It really comes down to that.  If you do things wrong and get richer and richer, you think you are doing everything right.

I recently attended a local wrestling show in my hometown where two 80's wrestlers faced each other. The match was slow paced and the wrestlers were out of shape. It's always nice to see wrestlers you grew up with but I feel they in now way able to perform, let alone safely in the ring. Promoters has to know this as well and I feel bringing in "well past their prime" to wrestle is the bad thing for a promotion and feel they are best served as meet and greets, autograph sessions, and possible manager roles for a promotion. My question is....should promoters be blamed or the wrestlers in continuing to wrestle?  Why do promoters place them in matches where they know they can't perform? What does this say about the promoter themselves?

In the promoter’s case, it says they want someone that they think will draw fans.  In the case of the wrestlers?  Well, it depends.  Some just love doing it.  Some need the adulation.  Some need the payday.  Some have a mix of those things.  They both share blame in your scenario but so does anyone who buys a ticket.  Anyone who pays to see a 55 year old guy and expects him to work like a 25 year old guy has unreal expectations.

With Hulk Hogan seemingly back is there anyway that WWE storylines his return and the venom from New Day / Mark Henry / Titus or is that far too controversial? I bet Vince Russo would be thinking of ways to incorporate and try and make money.

One, WWE is a kid friendly company.  They don’t do those kind of storylines.  With that said, I didn’t see any venom from the people you mentioned.  I saw African American men say that they weren’t satisfied with Hogan’s apology and that they wanted to see more contrition.  They were well within their rights to say that and I fully understand their position.

Though this title run has been lackluster, what has been your favorite Universal Title match since Lesnar has gained the title back? Mine personally was him and Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire, I thought that match and storyline was well planned out.

That was probably his best one…..at least until the finish.
