MLW FUSION REPORT: HENNIGAN VERSUS HART, WAR GAMES IS COMING, AND MORE

We are in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Rich Bocchini and Tony Schiavone.

We see a challenge made by Kotto Brazil, who is with Shane Strickland and Barrington Hughes.  Brazil talks about being locked in a boiler room by Sami, Fulton, and Scott.  Hughes reminds them of being attacked.  Strickland says that you took the title from him so they will go to war.  One cage, two rings.  It is going to be War Games.

Match Number One:  Leon Scott (with Sawyer Fulton and Sami Callihan) versus Barrington Hughes

Scott gives the thumbs up, but before he can give the thumbs down, Hughes slaps the hand away.  Hughes and Scott with forearms as the referee finally makes his way to the ring to start the match. 

They exchange forearms with Scott getting the advantage and Scott with clotheslines but Hughes stays on his feet.  Hughes with a uranage and then he hits an elbow drop but Fulton hits Hughes and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner:  Barrington Hughes (by disqualification)

After the match, Hughes with a head butt and punches to Fulton.  Fulton goes for a uranage but Callihan hits Hughes with a baseball bat.  Hughes is attacked by all three men as the referee tries to control the situation.

Kotto Brazil comes out and he has the baseball bat.   Callihan, Fulton, and Scott leave the ring.

Brazil says that he is tired of Callihan and his boys attacking people from behind.  That is not going to work for Kotto any more.  He wants a referee to come out.  He tells Sami if he wants to jump everyone from behind, why not face him one on one.  Kotto says that Sami does not think that Kotto can win but Kotto says Kotto can and Kotto will whip his ass.

Callihan gets on the apron and Brazil with a drop kick to send him to the floor.  Kotto with a plancha onto Callihan, Scott, and Fulton.  Brazil chops Callihan but Callihan with a punch to the head.  Brazil with a kick from the apron that sends Callihan into the front row.  Brazil goes up top and goes for a missile drop kick but Callihan with a power bomb.  Callihan demands that the referee start the match.

Match Number Two:  Sami Callihan (with Leon Scott and Sawyer Fulton) versus Kotto Brazil (with Barrington Hughes)

Callihan with chops in the corner and then Callihan sends Brazil to the floor.  Callihan with a power bomb onto the apron and then Brazil falls to the floor.  Callihan chokes Brazil with his boot.  Callihan chops Brazil against the ring post and then they return to the ring.

Callihan with JYD head butts to the ribs.  Callihan with a kick in the corner.  Callihan punches Brazil and the referee warns Sami.  Callihan with a reverse chin lock.   The referee checks on Brazil to see if he is still conscious and the arm goes down twice but Brazil keeps the arm up on the third try by the referee.  Brazil with elbows but Callihan with a forearm to the back.  Callihan with an Irisih whip and Brazil floats over and gets a near fall with a sunset flip.  Brazil with kicks and a drop kick to Callihan.

Brazil with a clothesline into the corner but Callihan catches him and hits a corkscrew DDT.  Callihan has the referee make the count on Brazil while he is down on the mat.  Callihan with a boot to the head when Brazil gets back to his knees.  Callihan with a slap to Brazil.  Callihan with a snap mare and reverse chin lock.  Callihan with a forearm to the back and then he slaps Brazil in the back.  Brazil lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt and Brazil with a satellite DDT.

Brazil gets to his feet first but he struggles to maintain his balance.  Brazil with punches and a chop.  Brazil leaps over Callihan and then hits a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow position.  Callihan with a clothesline and he gets a near fall.  Callihan tells the people in the front row to move and he sets up a few chairs.  Callihan appreciates his art work with the steel chairs.  Callihan sets for an Outsider’s Edge from the ring onto the chairs on the floor but Brazil is able to get to his feet.  Brazil with a kick and a bicycle kick. 

Brazil with a Code Red for a near fall.  Brazil runs into a boot from Callihan and Callihan goes to the turnbuckles but Brazil with a drop kick to stagger Callihan.  Brazil goes for a superplex but Callihan stops him.  Brazil goes for a Frankensteiner but Brazil blocks it and then he hits a power bomb from the turnbuckles.  Callihan with the butterfly shoulder breaker for the three count.

Winner:  Sami Callihan

We go to Teddy Hart who complains about the cameramen arriving at his home without his permission.  Teddy is with Davey Boy Smith Jr and Brian Pillman Jr.  Teddy says that Brian has big shoes to fill.  Teddy says since he does not follow the script they don’t trust him.  David talks about how they will dominate MLW. 

We go to commercial.

We are back and we go to Kaci Lennox who is with Konnan.  She asks him what is going on with him, Pentagon Jr. and Fenix.  Konnan says he has known them since they started and he is making sure that no one is taking advantage of him. 

Low Ki enters the area and he says that he knows Konnan and he is better than sticking his nose in someone else’s business.  Low Ki tells Konnan to mind his own business.

Konnan tells Low Ki to check his contract and he asks Low Ki what his goals are.

Joey Janela has a referee as he goes to find Maxwell J Friedman.  Janela with a punch and the match begins

Match Number Three:  Maxwell J. Friedman versus Joey Janela (with Aria Blake) for the MLW Middleweight Championship in a Falls Count Anywhere Match

Janela with forearms to the back and he gets a near fall.  Janela chokes Friedman with his scarf as they fight down the stairs.  Janela gets a near fall on a side bar.  Friedman chokes Janela with his scarf as they make their way into the building.  Janela with a cross body but Friedman catches Janela and drops him on a table to get a near fall.  Friedman punches Janela.

Friedman with a back rake and then he poses on a chair and stomps on Janela’s hand.  Janela pushes Friedman off the chair and kicks him.  Janela slams Friedman’s hand into a chair.  Janela follows after Friedman and connects with an elbow.  Friedman Irish whips Janela into a support beam.  Friedman with a chop and Janela with a punch.  Janela with a baseball slide into the back and Friedman goes into the support beam.  Janela sends Friedman into the seats and Janela with a super kick.  Friedman hides behind Blake and Friedman pushes Blake into Janela and Friedman with a punch and a back drop onto the apron.

Friedman with punches and kicks.  Friedman stomps on the hand and then he pulls Janela off the ropes and hits a power bomb for a near fall.  Friedman with a back breaker  and he gets a near fall.  Friedman with a reverse chin lock.  Janela with punches but Friedman with a knee.  Janela with forearms.  Friedman with a knee to the midsection and we go to commercial.

We are back and Janela asks for a chair and he puts it on Frieman on the floor.  Janela with a double stomp off the apron and he gets a near fall. Janela with a side head lock and they go to the entrance area.  Janela says it is time to pass away but Friedman with a low blow.

Friedman sets for a pile driver on the stage but Janela blocks it and he back drops Friedman.  Janela asks Blake for a kiss and Blake hits Janela in the head with a bottle and Friedman gets the three count.

Winner: Maxwell J Friedman (retains championship)

After the match, Friedman and Blake kiss as they stand over Janela.

Sami Callihan is in the back and he says if Shane wants to talk about War Games, Sami says he has just the person to join his team.  Sami asks Jimmy Havoc if he is in.  Jimmy asks what is he in.  Sami mentions War Games and he wants to know if Jimmy is in.  Sami says Jimmy owes him a favor.  Jimmy says he likes beating people up but he wants to be sold on War Games.

Sami mentions the rules for War Games and he mentions that there are five people that Jimmy can cause pain to inside the cage.

Jimmy says he is tempted because he does like hurting people.  Jimmy wants to be sold on it.

Sami says he will buy Jimmy a few drinks to talk about it.

Team Filthy is outside and Tom Lawlor wants to know what the smell is and Simon Gotch says it smells like Tennessee.  Robert Parker says that they got their reckoning for what they did to his hat.

Robert says they are challenging Team Filthy to the most dangerous match. 

Tom says they have bigger fish to fry and if you want to lay down a challenge, go ahead.  They can come to the gym and challenge them.

Parker says they have some dues to pay.

Konnan is in the hallway and he talks to Fenix and Pentagon Jr about their contracts.  Pentagon and Fenix rip up their contracts and walk away with Konnan.

We go to commercial.

We see Kevin Sullivan with Brian Pillman Jr. and Kevin says Teddy Hart is not the type of guy you want to hang out with.  Kevin says hanging around with them won’t help Brian.

Brian tells Kevin that he is just paying his dues and paying his respects.  Brian says he respects them because they have gone through some of the same life experiences and dealing with pressure.

Kevin realizes that there is a camera and they ask the cameraman to leave.

Match Number Four:  John Hennigan versus Teddy Hart in a Number One Contender Match

They lock up and Hennigan with a side head lock take down.  Hart with a head scissors and Hennigan escapes.  Hennigan with a side head lock take down and Hart with another head scissors.  Hennigan escapes again.  They shake hands while the crowd chants for both of them.  Hart with a wrist lock and take down.  Hennigan with a single leg take down and he gets a near fall. 

Hennigan with a wrist lock.  Hart uses the ropes to escape with an arm drag.  Hennigan with a single leg take down into a reverse chin lock.  Hennigan with a side head lock but Hart escapes.  Hart with a punch in the corner followed by a European uppercut.  Hennigan with a shoulder in the corner.  Hennigan with a punch and kick in the corner.  Hennigan chokes Hart in the corner but Hart with a single leg take down.  Hennigan kicks Hart to the floor. 
Hennigan sees Hart move so he decides not to dive to the floor.  Hennigan with a kick and he tries to suplex Hart back into the ring but Hart counters into a cutter onto the top rope.  Hennigan with a super kick followed by a clothesline.   Hart goes to the floor and Hennigan with a corkscrew moonsault.  Hennigan puts Hart on the apron and Hennigan with a kick to the chest.  Hennigan with a slingshot elbow drop for a near fall. 

Hart is put on the turnbuckles and Hennigan with a punch and kick.  Hart blocks a superplex attempt but Hennigan gets Hart on his shoulders and he hits a reverse Finlay slam from the turnbuckles followed by corkscrew splash for a near fall.  Hennigan with an Irish whip but Hart with a back elbow.  Hart with a Canadian Destroyer for a near fall.  Hart goes to the turnbuckles and hits a Canadian Destroyer from the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Hart with an Arabian Press onto Hennigan.  Hart with a punch and European uppercut to Hennigan to knock Hennigan out of a chair. 

Hart sends Hennigan into the apron and then Hart goes to the turnbuckles and he punches Hennigan.  Hart with a slingshot driver and Hart favors his groin.  Hart with an Arabian Press onto the knees.  Hennigan and Hart with punches.  Hennigan with the advantage and follows with a knee to the head.  Hennigan puts Hart on the turnbuckles and punches him. 

Hennigan with a Spanish Fly for a near fall.  Hennigan pulls Hart into the corner but Hart with a rollup for a near fall.  Hennigan puts Hart in the ropes and kicks him in the back and then hits a sliding German.  Hennigan goes for Starship Pain and hits it but he can only get a near fall.

Hennigan goes to the turnbuckles but he misses.  Hart with a European uppercut and then he applies a bear hug and follows with a package DDT.  Hart with a double knee back breaker followed by a corkscrew moonsault and a moonsault from the turnbuckles for a near fall.

Hart with a punch in the corner but Hennigan with an Irish whip.  Hart goes for a sunset flip out of the corner but Hennigan drops down and gets the three count.

Winner:  John Hennigan
