ROH AT MSG TICKET SALE UPDATE, ROH GENERAL MANAGER COMMENTS ON HISTORICAL NATURE OF EVENT

By Mike Johnson on 2018-08-09 10:43:00

Ring of Honor General Manager Greg Gilliland described yesterday's Ring of Honor and New Japan G1 Supercard ticket pre-sale for the 4/9/19 Madison Square Garden event, made up of subscribers of ROH's Honorclub as "Amazing", commenting that the show was "history in the making."

Yesterday's MSG pre-sale moved just under 9,000 tickets, Gilliand confirmed.    That would be a record for first-day ROH ticket sales if "All In" isn't factored in.

The belief is that around 60-70% of the arena will have been pre-purchased by Friday, when tickets officially go on sale to the general public.  A sellout looks to be guaranteed on Friday, setting the stage for the largest gate and crowd in Ring of Honor's 16-year history.

Gilliand, who has been overseeing ROH since Sinclair Broadcast Group purchased the company, commented to PWInsider.com that the MSG event is a "really great benefit to pro wrestling and wrestling fans."
