WWE acknowledged that Goldust underwent surgery today on each of his knees in Birmingham, Alabama. The WWE website did not provide further details, nor did it provide any details on his expected recovery time, but did not that the surgery was successful.
Goldust, real name Dustin Runnells, 49 years old, has had five different runs with WWE and has been with the company consistently since 2013. A former three-time Intercontinental Champion, he has also held the WWE Tag Team and Hardcore Championships. Runells has also had runs with Jim Crockett Promotions, WCW and Impact Wrestling under a myriad of characters.
