Do you ever see Impact ever partnering with EVOLVE?
Not if Gabe Sapolsky wants to keep his WWE job! In all seriousness, EVOLVE works closely with WWE and Sapolsky works personally on the NXT brand. Politically, it would be a stupid decision to work with Impact. EVOLVE isn't stupid.
Do you think next years Women's Royal Rumble will be scaled down to 20 with only a few surprises?
No, I would expect WWE to stay with the 30 competitor format. I think if they scaled it down, they would get scolded by the audience, especially online.
When Cena and Batista both went over the top rope in the 2005 Royal Rumble, was that a legit botch? What was supposed to be the finish of that match? I thought the refs did a great job improvising on the fly.
It was 100% a botch. Batista was supposed to throw Cena over the top and win but the momentum sent them both over the top to the floor, which led to Vince McMahon coming out (getting injured entering the ring) and restarting the bout. It was one of those moments where reality crept into wrestling and they had to figure out a way to get back to the planned finish.
I have seen a lot of instances where your opinion and even your speculation on Elite audios is turned into "factual news" on other sites that report things you never actually said or wrote. I don't know how that doesn't drive you mad. How do you feel about it?
Sadly, there's nothing we can do to stop others from incorrectly interpolating what I stated. If they are unable to have reading or listening comprehension, I can't help them. It's unfortunate others fall for reading it elsewhere, but again, I can't control where people decide to go to read about wrestling and if they want a poorer version of what we do here, that's their right. I would hope that if someone wanted to know what I really wrote or stated, they would be coming to the site (or subscribing to the Elite section) as opposed to relying on third parties passing off things that were never actualy said or implied.
Whatever happened to Kimona Wanaleia?
To the best of my knowledge, she still lives in the Northeast and occasionally, pops up at conventions.
Why hasn't WWE put Jonathan Coachman back in the ring?
To be honest, Coachman is 42 years old and was never a regular in-ring performer. I don't think there would be an upside to WWE using Coachman in that role now.
