Woburn, MA

MATCH ONE: Elia Markopolous v. Cam Zagami

After losing a two out of three falls match to Heavyweight Champion JT Dunn last month, Elia is back in the opening match.

The match was okay.  Structurally it was fine, but it seemed like they couldn’t fully get on the same page.  Elia played the powdering, over the top heel and he’s good in the role.  It just didn’t fully connect here.  Also, there were too many spots involving the referee, including him getting pushed and pulled too many times.

Elia put his feet on the ropes for a pin but got caught.  He argued with the ref and then turned around and walked into Cam’s finish.  It will be interesting to see where they go with Elia from here.

WINNER: Cam Zagami

MATCH TWO: The Mill City Hooligans (Chase Del Monte & The Logan Brothers) v. Mike Verna & The Amazing Graysons (Tommy & JP)

Chase cut a promo saying he thought he shut the door on Verna, but Verna came back and cost him the Chaotic Countdown.  So if Verna “has the balls,” he’ll face Chase next month in Lowell in a Mill City Street Fight.  He then added that Verna and the Graysons think they’re a Justice League, but tonight, they’ll find out they’re not in the Hooligan’s league.  Very good promo.

Standard fare as far as a six-man tag goes, but I mean that in the most positive way.  They didn’t try to reinvent the wheel and they didn’t need to.  It was fast paced, quick tags and cutting off the ring on Tommy as he sold until the hot tag.  He did a great job selling.

The finish saw Verna hit a dive on Chase on the floor.  The Logans and Graysons went back and forth in the ring and Tommy rolled up one of the Logans for the win.  Solid match.

Afterward, Verna took the mic and said Woburn took him in as one of his own, so they’re not doing the street fight in Lowell, they’re doing it in Woburn.  Then he finished by saying he’ll make Chase his bitch.

WINNERS: Mike Verna & The Amazing Graysons

MATCH THREE: Scotty Slade v. “Retrosexual” Anthony Greene (with the Platinum Hunnies)

Not only did AG have his Hunnies out with him, but a guy carrying an “Applause” sign.  That was amusing.  Not for long, though, as Slade bum rushed the ring and AG and the match began.

Fairly short one.  The Hunnies were on the apron to kiss AG.  Slade ran at him and he moved but stopped short of hitting them.  AG did the same thing then walked into Slade’s sit out Urinage for the win.  After the match, he had his daughter in the ring with him to celebrate.  If I had to guess she looked less than a year old.  Really sweet moment.

WINNER: Scotty Slade

Christian Casanova out with Tripilicious.  They brought out a trophy and Casanova gave a victory speech.  He thanked Tripilicious and everyone in the crowd for doing absolutely nothing.  Tripilicious then said he had a handpicked opponent for him to walk over.  Out came Vinny Pacifico.

MATCH FOUR: Christian Casanova (with Tripilicious) v. “Tha Kid” Vinny Pacifico

Squash.  Pacifico got in a brief hope before Casanova hit the Dirty Diana followed by the axe kick for the win.

WINNER: Christian Casanova

After the match, Casanova called out Chaotic Champion JT Dunn.  Dunn came out with Sammi Lane.  Tripilicious said he would love to beat JT if he had the chance.  Christian said why don’t we have JT against Tripilicious for the title tonight.  Dunn called them a couple of Looney Tunes and that their trophy is probably stolen.  He then agreed to the match.

MATCH FIVE: Chaotic Heavyweight Title – JT Dunn (with Sammi Lane) (c) v. Tripilicious (with Christian Casanova)

In honor of Tripilicious calling the crowd “basic” about 57 and a half times, I’ll call this match basic.  Nothing blow away and not boring, either.  Although Tripilicious completely no sold a clothesline by popping up and hitting a standing moonsault.  That was…something.  He then kicked out of a rolling elbow.

Casanova made his way to the ring after arguing with Sammi Lane from the announce booth.  He tried to get involved but it backfired and Dunn hit the rolling elbow for the win.  Really great effort by Dunn, but the match just didn’t get over like it should have.  Probably because no one bought a Tripilicious win.

After the match, Casanova laid out Dunn with the trophy.  Then he said at the next show, Christian and Tripilcious against JT and anyone he can find.

WINNER: JT Dunn

INTERMISSION

MATCH SIX: Chaotic Tag Team Titles – Maine State Posse (Aiden Aggro & Danger Kid) (c) v. DL Hurst & Brett Domino

This match was a decent step for Hurst and Domino in that they went long and they didn’t look lost.  The only issue with the match was that the crowd wasn’t really into it because Hurst & Domino have been so undefined in the promotion.  Maybe this will be the start of something as there were two points in the match where Hurst went for a pin and wasn’t the legal man, so after the match, he got frustrated and left.

The structure of the match was good and all four did well.  Hurst and Domino were traditional with cutting the ring off and making frequent tags, so building the heat was done well.  The finish saw Hurst get dumped out and MSP hit a double team on Domino for the win.  MSP looked more confident.  Both teams have a lot of work to do, but this was good.

WINNERS: Maine State Posse

Alisha Edwards out.  Last month when she lost the Chaotic Women’s Title, there was no belt because she said she didn’t need it.  Now she’s out with the belt saying Skylar doesn’t deserve it.  Alisha then saw the ring girl Sarah holding the title and started in on her.  She then dragged her by the hair into the ring and was going to attack when Davienne ran in for the save.  Davienne had the upper hand before Alisha dumped Davienne out of the ring and dropped Sarah.  She then ran off triumphantly.  Good segment.

MAIN EVENT: New England Heavyweight Title – Josh Briggs (c) v. Chris Dickinson

The match started in a different way. Dickinson ended up sitting next to me in the crowd in a hat and a Briggs shirt and ducked his head during Briggs’ entrance.  Briggs, who walks around the entire crowd, came around to us and Dickinson jumped him.  They ended up having a big brawl until getting back to the ring, which was a good way to start.

The match ended up okay.  There was a ref bump and Dickinson hit a low blow.  He got a chair and went to hit a swinging DDT on Briggs, but Briggs caught him and hit a powerbomb on the chair.  He then slid the chair out and got a two count.  I thought the psychology was a little backwards there.  They kept going until Briggs hit the M5 for the win.

WINNER: Josh Briggs

This was a decent show from Chaotic.  The in-ring action was decent enough and they continued to build their storylines.
