In 1986 Roddy Piper disappeared from the WWF and when he returned, he became a good guy and fought with Adrian Adonis over the Flower Shop.  Why was Piper gone?

Piper left to film Bodyslam the Movie with Dirk Benedict, Lou Albano and the Tonga Kid.  When he was done with the film, he returned.

Where was the arena where WWF filmed Andre the Giant turning on Hulk Hogan on Piper’s Pit?

The angle was filmed in Tampa, Florida at the Sundome.

How far in advance was that taped vs. when the match took place?

The taping was January 5th, 1987 and the match took place in March, so a few months.

Hogan's chest bleeds after Andre turned on him.  Did they blade his chest?

I don't believe so.  I think that when Andre grabbed him and ripped the crucifix off his neck while tearing Hogan's shirt, it just happened to nick him, causing blood.  Roddy Piper saw it and pointed it out, which added to the drama of the moment.

Is Batista ever going to return?

He was slated to return for Wrestlemania 34, he has claimed, as Ronda Rousey’s partner and was surprised to see WWE announce it would be Kurt Angle as her partner.  He has stated he’d like to come back and do a meaningful last run, but WWE hasn’t seemed to make it a priority for whatever reason.

How come with all the WWE videogames, no one has ever done a Mortal Kombat style fighting game?

My guess is that no one with any clout ever pushed the idea or that there was a feeling it might not sell at the marketplace.  It’s an interesting idea.

Jason D. sent the following....Back in the 1990's, WWE did infact release two fighting style games. The first one was 1995's WrestleMania The Arcade Game which was initially released as an arcade game, and then released on the popular home systems of the time, and 1996's In Your House which was strictly a home release.
