From time to time, I see the site mentions WWE is looking for writers.  I am wondering what the starting salary for a position like that would be?

The base starting salary, the last we heard, was in the $60,000 range.  Obviously, it probably changes on a case by case basis and someone who has a track record and can command a bigger salary would likely get a bigger offer.

I seem to remember it was originally reported that the UK Tournament would air on the net work at 3pm eastern time Tuesday and Wednesday but on the press call last week Triple H said it would not air live. Why? Have they announced when it will air? And why spend half of the NXT broadcast last week plugging a tournament nobody can watch unless they attend the show live?

It was never airing on a Tuesday and Wednesday.  The original plan was to air the show live as it happened.  They later made the decision to hold the shows off and air them on a one-week tape delay, since they had a live Raw and Smackdown the same day they were taping the UK show.  They plugged the show because they had tickets to sell.  The shows will air this Monday and Tuesday at 3 PM Eastern.

There have been rumors of WWE working with Pro Wrestling NOAH.  What do you think of that?

It's possible that's true.  I know they have been trying to strategically decide how to create what would basically amount to their satellite company in Asia, so why not working with NOAH the way they work with PROGRESS or ICW in Europe?  I wouldn't be shocked to see WWE even consider purchasing the promotion and convert it over into NXT Japan down the line if it works out.  If they wanted to run a big show in Japan, they could send Bullet Club and Hideo and Tozawa, etc. to help draw.  Anything is possible for down the line, but I haven't heard of any 100% confirmed plans yet.

Whatever happened to the NWA Legends Fanfest?

The Fanfest, which in recent years had reverted to its former name as the Mid-Atlantic Legends Fanfest, canceled its scheduled event last summer and is not running this summer. There's no word on if or when it resumes, but I certainly hope it does as it was always a quality event.

I'm catching up on ECW on the WWE network and am confused by something.   On Hardcore TV Episode 24 it's mentioned ECW is now affiliated with the NWA and Bloodfeast 1993 is promoted as an NWA show.   However according to online sources ECW was already an NWA territory or already affiliated with them upon launching in 1992?  Which one is it?

ECW was not affiliated with the NWA upon launch.  Tod Gordon decided to become a NWA member to lend credibility to the promotion towards the end of 1993.  ECW maintained that relationship until August 1994 when doublecrossed the NWA and Shane Douglas tossed down the NWA title, declaring the ECW belt a World championship.  At that point, ECW transitioned into the Extreme name and was done with the NWA.
