WWE NXT REPORT: LOOKING BACK AT TAKEOVER, BELAIR VERSUS KAI, WAR RAIDERS VERSUS THE MIGHTY

Tonight's show starts off with a graphic In Memory of Leon "Vader" White.

We have a video recap of what happened at Takeover last Saturday night.

We are in Chicago, Illinois and your announcers are Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness, and Percy Watson.

Match Number One:  Dakota Kai versus Bianca Belair

Belair pie faces Kai and misses a clothesline.  Kai with a running kick but Belair with an Irish whip and Kai floats over.  Kai wtih a kick as Belair charges into the corner and Kai with a rollup for a near fall.  Belair with a waist lock but Kai with a leg trip and a running kick for a near fall.  Belair tosses Kai over her head into the turnbuckles and then she connects with a shoulder to the midsection.  Belair sets for a suplex and she turns it into a delayed slingshot suplex.  Belair with a splash to the back.  Belair spins around instead of taking advantage of her downed opponent.

Belair with a forearm to the back and she gets a near fall.  Belair goes for an abdominal stretch but Kai tries to fight Belair until Bianca applies the abdominal stretch.  Belair with forearms to the exposed ribs as well as a claw to the ribs.  Belair with a pump handle back breaker.  Belair tells Kai to get up but Kai cannot do anything.  Belair with a forearm to the back followed by an attempted triple slingshot delayed vertical suplex but Kai with a rollup for a near fall.  Kai with another rollup.  Belair with a knee and she goes for a splash but Kai gets her knees up top stop Belair.

Belair misses a charge into the corner and Kai with an enzuigiri.  Both women are down.  Kai with a round kick and scorpion kick.  Kai with a bicycle kick and then she hits a Yakuza Kick.  Kai with a face wash for a near fall.  Kai goes to the turnbuckles and leaps over Belair.  Belair tries to whip Kai with her hair but she misses.  Belair with a forearm followed by a torture rack into the Belair Driver for the three count.

Winner:  Bianca Belair

We take a look back at the match between Ricochet and Velveteen Dream.

We go to comments from Ricochet after the match on Saturday.  He is asked about what is next.  He says that at Takeover New Orleans he showed a little of what he could do in a ring.  Tonight, he showed he is not just an animated GIF you see online.  The spotlight no longer belongs to Velveteen Dream, it belongs to the One and Only.

Velveteen Dream is asked about what is next for him.  He says Dream Over in Chicago.  What do you think?  

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at the NXT Women's Championship Match between Shayna Baszler and Nikki Cross.

We see Shayna Baszler with Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke after the show and she is asked about dealing with Nikki Cross.  She says you defeat chaos by sucking the air out and putting it to sleep.  And still . . . Shayna walks away.

We move on to a look at the NXT Championship Match between Lars Sullivan and Aleister Black.

We see Aleister Black after the match and he is congratulated on his victory.  Black says he cannot talk now as he walks away gingerly.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at the NXT Tag Team Championship Match featuring the Undisputed Era against Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan.

Lorcan and Burch were interviewed in the back.  Burch says this is a combined 25 years in the making putting their blood and tears to get into the WWE.  This was their first Takeover and they came up short.  They left it all in the ring.  Oney says it was the biggest match of their career and it was the biggest loss of their career.  Oney says they are disappointed.

We take a look at the Chicago Street Fight between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Aleister Black will be on NXT next week.

We see EC3 arriving at the Performance Center earlier today.  EC3 says Takeover proved why NXT is the top brand.  It had everything . . . except it lacked the Top One Percent.  From this moment forward, The Top One Percent will be on 100 Percent of Takeovers.  EC3 says he has been turning this brand into NX3 and he is going to go into William Regal's office to call his shot. 

EC3 is asked who will he ask Regal to face and EC3 tells him EVERYBODY.

Match Number Two:  Hanson and Raymond Rowe versus Nick Miller and Shane Thorne

Miller and Thorne throw their jackets at the War Raiders and they attack them.  Rowe wants the referee to ring the bell and he hits a drop kick on Thorne followed by an overhead suplex on Miller.  Hanson tags in and Rowe Irish whips Hanson into the corner and then Rowe tosses Hanson into Thorne in the corner.  Rowe tags back in and he gets Thorne up for Fallout but Miller stops Hanson.  Thorne with a rollup and his feet on the ropes for a near fall.

Miller tags in and connects with forearms and cross faces.  Miller with a double sledge to the back and he sends Rowe to the floor.  Thorne with a knee to Rowe while the referee deals with Miller.  Thorne tags in and they hit an elevated swinging neck breaker for a near fall.  Thorne with a European uppercut in the corner followed by forearms while Rowe tries to push him away.  Thorne with a European uppercut and Rowe fights out of the corner but Thorne with a drop kick.  He misses a cannonball and Hanson tags in.  Hanson with a back body drop followed by a slam and cross body to Miller.  Hanson with a power slam to Thorne.  Hanson with a cartwheel into a drop kick on Thorne.

Rowe tags in and he sends Thorne into the air for Thor's Hammer.  Miller breaks up the cover but he is sent to the floor.  Hanson with a suicide dive onto Miller.  Rowe with a judo toss and a knee to the head.  Hanson tags in and they set for Fallout and hit it for the three count.

Winners:  Hanson and Raymond Rowe
