WWE 205 LIVE REPORT: KENDRICK VERSUS DORADO, ALI VERSUS MURPHY, GULAK READS FROM HIS LITERATURE, AND MORE

We start off with a look back at last week's Cruiserweight Title Match between Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy.

Drake Maverick announces that Lince Dorado will face Brian Kendrick.  In the main event, Mustafa Ali will face Buddy Murphy.

We are in Corpus Christi, Texas and your announcers are Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness, and Percy Watson.

Drew Gulak joins the commentary for the opening match.

Match Number One:  Lince Dorado (with Gran Metalik and Gran Metalik) versus Brian Kendrick (with Drew Gulak)

Kendrick attacks as soon as the bell rings and he connects with kicks and forearms.  Dorado with a chop and slap.  Dorado with more punches and kicks to Kendrick.  Kendrick misses a clothesline and Dorado with a drop kick and head scissors that sends Kendrick to the floor.  Kendrick tells Kalisto or Metalik to hit him and Dorado with a baseball slide.  Dorado sends Kendrick into the apron and then hits a rana off the apron.   Dorado sends Kendrick back into the ring and Kendrick with a baseball slide.  

Kendrick sends Dorado into tha ringside barrier.  Kendrick sends Dorado back into the ring and kicks him in the back.  Kendrick with a side slam as Gulak continues to read from his pamphlet.  Kendrick with an arm bar and he rubs his forearm across the side of the head.  Dorado with punches but Kendrick with a side slam as Percy questions Drew's spelling of Lince's name in his literature.  Kendrick kicks Dorado in the head.  

Kendrick chokes Dorado in the corner.  Kendrick with knee drops.  Kendrick with a butterfly suplex for a near fall.  Kendrick with a reverse chin lock.  Kendrick with a knee to the midsection followed by a hard Irish whip.  Kendrick with a hard Irish whip.  Kendrick with an Irish whip and Dorado with a spinning heel kick out of the corner.  Kendrick runs into a boot and then Dorado with a head scissors take down followed by chops.  Dorado with punches and knees.  Kendrick sends Dorado to the apron and then Dorado goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall.  Dorado with a drop kick and Kendrick goes to the floor.

Dorado with a suicide dive and Gulak gets up from his spot at the announce table.  Gulak tells the cat to get into the ring and then Kendrick sends Dorado into the announce table and then into Metalik.  Kendrick and Dorado return to the ring and Kendrick misses a splash into the corner.  Dorado with a handspring cutter for the three count.

Winner:  Lince Dorado

After the match, Gulak attacks Kalisto and then he goes into the ring and kicks Dorado.  Gulak and Kendrick leave the ring when Kalisto and Metalik go to the aid of Dorado.

Vic mentions the reaction to the Cruiserweight Title Match from last week.

We have a video package about the match.

Mustafa Ali is in the locker room and he says he is proud of Cedric's performance last week.  It also made him hungry to prove that he belongs out there.  Tonight he faces Buddy Murphy.  Buddy thinks he will run through him for another title match.  Buddy might be strong, but does he have enough heart because Ali says he will show that he has the heart of a champion.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two:  TJP versus Brian Keith

TJP offers his hand and then Keith shakes it but TJP with a clothesline.  TJP takes the mic and he apologizes for doing this in front of his friends and family in Corpus Crispy.  He praises Keith on his boots.  He will not make his name at the expense of the Cruisergreat.  TJP with a slingshot senton.  He wants to know if this is the type of competition that he deserves.  TJP with a step over toe hold and curb stomp.  Maybe another general manager on another brand might like his talent a little better.  Maybe Paige, Kurt Angle, or William Regal.  TJP with a Cloverleaf.  The best technical wrestler might be available to those brands soon.  It is tap out time.  Keith taps out.

Winner:  TJP

We have a video package for Lio Rush.  He says he is the man of the hour planning the perfect attack.  He says he is the best cruiserweight in the world.  He is a 23 year old piece of gold.  You are looking at a gift.  He is a living legend and a phenomenon.  It will be a matter of time before 205 Live feels the Rush.

We are back and next week we will have a six man tag match with Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik, and Kalisto against Drew Gulak, Jack Gallagher, and Brian Kendrick.

Buddy Murphy is asked about his preparation for his match against Mustafa Ali.  Tony Nese says that Buddy took Cedric to the limit and the result will be different the next time.  Buddy says he is the Juggernaut and he will prove that you cannot stop the unstoppable.

Match Number Three:  Mustafa Ali versus Buddy Murphy

Ali leaps over a charging Murphy but Murphy sends Ali into the turnbuckles a few times.  Ali escapes but Murphy tosses Ali into the turnbuckles.  Ali with chops and they have no effect on Buddy.  Ali with a kick.  Murphy misses a series of back fists.  Ali lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt.  Ali with a drop kick and Murphy goes to the floor.  Ali with a corkscrew plancha onto Murphy.

Ali sends Murphy into the ring and Ali goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall.  Murphy pushes Ali away and then he sends Ali to the apron.  Ali with a forearm and he goes up top but Murphy stops him.  Murphy goes for a superplex but Ali knocks him off the turnbuckles.  Ali with a forearm to stagger Murphy on the turnbuckles.  Murphy with a forearm and then he gets Ali on his shoudlers and he drops Ali on the turnbuckles.

Murphy gets a near fall.  Murphy with a knee to the back followed by a knee to the midsection.  Ali with a rollup for a near fall.  Murphy with a kick and then he drops Ali across the top rope.  Murphy with a gutbuster for a near fall.  Murphy with an abdominal stretch on Ali and Ali escapes and tries to use the ropes to escape.  Ali with a reverse rana and both men are down.  Ali with a kick and it staggers Murphy.  Ali runs into boots but Ali blocks it and hits a super kick.  Murphy with an elbow to send Ali to the apron.  Ali with a springboard splash with Murphy in the ropes.  Ali gets a near fall.

Ali with a forearm and Buddy punches back.  They continue to exchange strikes.  Murphy with a back heel kick but Ali with a spinning heel kick.  Ali runs into a forearm.  Ali with a super kick.  Ali is flipped to his feet by Murphy and Buddy with a bicycle kick.  Ali with an enzuigiri from the apron and he goes for the rolling X Factor but Murphy with a knee to the head and he gets a near fall.  They go to the apron and Murphy sets for a suplex on the apron.  Murphy sends Ali into the ring post.  Murphy charges at Ali but misses a knee and hits the ring post.  Ali with a rolling X Factor on the apron and then they return to the ring and Ali gets a near fall.

Ali with a back heel kick but Murphy catches Ali in the turnbuckles and hits a super kick.  Murphy with a DDT for a near fall.  Ali rolls to the floor but Murphy follows.  Murphy says he is next in line but Ali moves when Murphy tries to stomp on his head.  Ali pulls him off the apron and then Ali is sent into the ring post but Ali lands on the turnbuckles and hits a tornado DDT.  Ali sends Murphy back into the ring and goes for the inward 450 but Hideo Itami hits Ali with a forearm and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner:  Mustafa Ali (by disqualification)

After the match, Itami with a hesitation drop kick on Murphy.  Itami with a knee to Ali's head.
