BIG CASS PULLED FROM SMACKDOWN, WWE ADDS DREAM MATCH TOMORROW

By Mike Johnson on 2018-05-21 14:05:00

WWE announced, via Smackdown General Manager Paige, that Big Cass has been pulled from his scheduled match against Samoa Joe tomorrow on Smackdown Live from Worcester, MA due to injury.  As noted earlier today, Cass appeared to have re-injured his knee and needed help to return to the locker room last night.

Instead, WWE United States Champion Jeff Hardy will face Daniel Bryan for the first-time ever on tomorrow's broadcast.   The winner will go on to meet Samoa Joe next week in a Money in the Bank Qualifying match.  Should it be Bryan advancing, it would be the first time he has wrestled Samoa Joe since October 2006.

Previously announced for Smackdown:

* Miz TV with the New Day revealing which member will compete at Money in the Bank

*Naomi vs. Sonya Deville in a Money in the Bank qualifying match

*Lana vs. Billie Kaye in a Money in the Bank qualifying match.
